"Vintage vibe. I would have loved to have visited the property in its prime. The lobby was renovated, but the remainder of the property had the original feel. With that said, staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and the property was clean, as was the pool. The location was great for access to the lake and good restaurants. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, but it was broken. Overall, for the price point, we’d stay again. "

"I didn't care for the odor in the reception area and hallways. I think it was because I believe the workers were smoking out front. There was a numerous amounts of cigarette butts outside in the front. They were everywhere— on the cub and all over the decorative rocks only near the handicap parking. We had to move from room 424 to 418 because the outlet was faulty. The ladies at the front desk were congenial and helpful in allowing us to switch rooms."

"Truly a historic building with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Indoor pool is large and clean. Outdoor pool was not open yet but looks wonderful. The view of Union City in the valley below was so pretty. We were upgraded from a standard queen room to a king, which was a pleasant surprise. Lobby has a large fireplace and great staircase. We enjoyed playing a couple of games of chess there, accompanied by a drink from the bar. Hotel is older and may lack a few things but it did not hamper our stay. For instance, a coffee machine in the room would be nice. Or, additional hooks/towelbars in the bathroom. And, a nightlight in the bathroom! We only dined at the hotel restaurant the first night out of convenience. There are a lot of other restaurants in the vincinity. Location of hotel is convenient. Close to the caverns, Fort Necessity battlefield, the Frank Lloyd Wright houses, trails in Ohiopyle State Park. "

"Front desk staff very helpful. I booked reservations through Expedia with wrong dates. Expedia staff unable to correct dates. I took out extra insurance on 2nd reservation and they told me that it didn’t cover that. Corrected the dates the next day with hotel front desk."
