On entering The Nook you will walk in to a well equipped handmade kitchen. With KitchenAid appliances and an oven and 2 ring hob. You will have everything you need if you want to prepare any meal for 2. There is a Grind coffee machine for all your favourite coffee shop drinks at your fingertips. With compostable pods, we are always considering the environment too, so please dispose of them in the recycling bin. There is also a Roberts Bluetooth Speaker which you can connect your own devices to for that perfect Roberts Radio sound whilst dancing in the kitchen. The kitchen is well-stocked with crockery and utensils and there are oils, sauces, vinegars and salt & pepper for you to use as required. Plenty of cups, mugs and teapots along with a cafetière on the shelves to suit whichever mood of drink you fancy at the time. We have created a little corner of the kitchen for shoe storage and coats. Please use whenever possible. On through to the lounge, once you have ducked under the beam, you will be greeted with a very comfortable sofa positioned purposely in front of the log burner - perfect for those snuggling up times, morning, noon or night, with 2 additional 100% wool blankest provided for those even cosier nights. As well as a Smart TV with all your favourite streaming services including a TV Licence for iPlayer, you will find in the industrial cupboard (sourced from the Russell Scientific factory in Norfolk) under the stairs, a few games suitable for 2 players. Perfect for those days of relaxation where staying in is the preferred order of the day. There are plenty of industrial lamps around the lounge to create that cosy atmosphere that somewhere like The Nook demands. There are brighter ceiling lights that also set off gorgeous shapes around the different rooms. Under the window there is a reclaimed dining table for 2. A perfect space for those nights that you don't want to venture out to the many eateries in the area. Free WiFi is available at The Nook. The shower room is downstairs and has a toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and electric shower with luxurious Christy towels. Eco friendly vegan toiletries are provided along with Bamboo toilet paper - again, conscious of the environment. The wallpaper in the shower room is from the 1950's. A vintage find made of Japanese Bamboo. We think it's rather stunning. In the large airy upstairs bedroom with double aspect windows, there are wonderful original floorboards adding character to this spacious room. A feature mural adorns one wall creating a calming environment. There are 2 reading areas within the bedroom, one with views over the hills of Sedgeford. There are binoculars and a floor cushion provided for those far reaching views. The other chair is perfect for enjoying that morning cup of tea or coffee, when you're not quite ready to venture downstairs. A dressing table provides mirror, stool and drawer along with hairdryer in the vintage metal deeds box. The centrepiece of the room is an antique brass double bed which has a Gilbert White Mattress, a Bamboo duvet and pillows with 100% cotton bedding. There is a lovely reclaimed peg rack housing vintage coat hangers from London stores on which to hang your clothes. There are also 2 cupboards for the items you don't want on show. As you approach The Nook you will find a parking space for one car next to the full log store which it at your disposal. Please do not park anywhere else within the courtyard as the other spaces are for our lovely neighbours. Directly outside the cottage, there is a decking area with a reclaimed table and chairs, perfect for those slow mornings of coffee and pastries. Across from the parking area there is an enclosed garden with further dining opportunities. The Nook Guidebook will share great restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, beaches etc., all worthy of a visit. Worth a look through for inspiration of where to go today! There is a Compendium of Norfolk at your disposal too for attractions and places to visit further afield in the beautiful county of Norfolk. ## Property amenities ### Internet - Available in the cottage: Free WiFi ### Parking and transport - Parking on site ### Kitchen - Coffee/tea maker - Cookware, dishware, and utensils - Electric kettle - Hob - Oven - Refrigerator - Toaster ### Dining - Dining table ### Bedrooms - Bedroom - Bedsheets provided ### Bathroom - 1 bathroom - Hair dryer - Shampoo - Soap - Toilet paper - Towels provided ### Living spaces - Dining table - Fireplace - Living room ### Entertainment - Games - Smart TV ### Outdoor areas - Barbecue grill - Garden - Outdoor furniture - Patio ### Comfort - Heating ### Pets - Pet friendly - Welcoming dogs only - Up to 25 kg per pet ### Suitability/Accessibility - If you have requests for specific accessibility needs, please contact the property using the information on the reservation confirmation received after booking. - Area rugs in public areas - Gravel flooring in public areas - Hardwood flooring in public areas - No lift - Tile flooring in public areas - Well-lit path to entrance - Smoke-free property ### Services and conveniences - Iron/ironing board ### Location highlights - In a rural location - In a village ### Things to do - Birdwatching nearby - Cycling nearby - Golfing nearby - Wildlife walks nearby ### Safety features - Carbon monoxide detector (host has indicated there is a carbon monoxide detector on the property) - Smoke detector (host has indicated there is a smoke detector on the property) - First aid kit - Fire extinguisher ### General - Bulk dispensers for toiletries - Double-glazed windows - Eco-friendly cleaning products used - Eco-friendly toiletries - Garden - Property does not allow children - Recycling - Unit size: 555 square feet ## Policies ### Check-in Check-in time starts at 4:00 PM Minimum check-in age - 18 ### Check-out Check-out before 10:00 AM ### Special check-in instructions You will receive an email from the host with check-in and check-out instructions ### Pets Pets are allowed Service animals are welcome, and are exempt from fees Welcoming dogs only 1 total (up to 25 kg per pet) ### Children and extra beds This property does not allow children ### Events No events allowed ### Smoking Smoking is not permitted ## Important information ### You need to know This property is managed by a private host (a party not acting within their trade, business or profession). THE ONLY COMMENT WE WOULD LIKE TO MENTION IS THAT FOR A COUPLE IN OUR 70\`S THE STAIRS WERE A LITTLE BIT OF A CONCERN PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY ARE PAINTED AND WE WERE VERY CAREFUL ESPECIALLY CARRYING CASES UPSTAIRS. THAT WAS DEFINATELY THE ONLY NEGATIVE. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS PERFECT. ##### PAUL S. Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2024 ### 6/10 Okay #### Janice 30 Jun 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, communication The design and the decor were lovely And sedgeford is a pretty village close to the coast We hadn’t realised just how small the cottage would be For two nights was very overpriced ! We felt the cottage had been designed more for looks than practicalities One tiny sofa is not enough if you want to put your feet up with no other comfy chair We brought our camping chair in !! The bedroom was extremely hot so a fan would be a good addition The outside furniture on the patio has seen better days and again not comfortable In the garden area again some comfy seating would have been nice The open stairs could be pretty daunting to some folks especially in the night as the loo Is downstairs !! Overall A nicely presented cottage For two Nights - but overpriced ! ##### Janice Stayed 2 nights in Jun 2025 ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Chester-Hotels-DoubleTree-By-Hilton-Hotel-And-Spa-Chester.h527788.Hotel-Information) > > [ORIDA Maidstone Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Maidstone-Hotels-ORIDA-Maidstone-Hotel.h74419166.Hotel-Information) > > [Lakes Hotel and Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Windermere-Hotels-Lakes-Hotel-And-Spa.h901040.Hotel-Information) > > [5* Detached Stone Cottage with a Private Indoor Pool (Not Shared)](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Ashbourne-Hotels-5-Detached-Stone-Cottage-With-A-Private-Indoor-Pool.h31752210.Hotel-Information) > > [The Windermere Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Windermere-Hotels-The-Windermere-Hotel.h13431161.Hotel-Information) > > [Harbour Hotel Christchurch](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Christchurch-Hotels-The-Christchurch-Harbour-Hotel-And-Spa.h18097.Hotel-Information) > > [De Vere Cotswold Water Park](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cirencester-Hotels-De-Vere-Cotswold-Water-Park.h1770053.Hotel-Information) > > [Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cambridge-Hotels-Cambridge-Belfry.h1103020.Hotel-Information) > > [Lifeboat Inn](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hunstanton-Hotels-Lifeboat-Inn.h10018175.Hotel-Information) > > [Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Chester-Hotels-Grosvenor-Pulford-Hotel-Spa.h790572.Hotel-Information) > > [Pine Lake Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carnforth-Hotels-Pine-Lake-Resort.h1928661.Hotel-Information) > > [Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bolton-Hotels-Last-Drop-Village-Hotel-And-Spa.h9341.Hotel-Information) > > [DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cheltenham-Hotels-Doubletree-By-Hilton-Cheltenham.h65899.Hotel-Information) > > [ibis budget Manchester Airport](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Ibis-Budget-Manchester-Airport.h75715089.Hotel-Information) > > [Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Woodbridge-Hotels-Ufford-Park-Woodbridge-Hotel.h12685.Hotel-Information) > > [Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Norwich-Hotels-Dunston-Hall.h519081.Hotel-Information) > > [Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Leeds-Hotels-Oulton-Hall-Hotel.h15948.Hotel-Information) > > [The Park Royal Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Warrington-Hotels-The-Park-Royal.h24462.Hotel-Information) > > [Fairmont Windsor Park](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Egham-Hotels-Fairmont-Windsor-Park.h60335617.Hotel-Information) > > [The Orange Tree](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hunstanton-Hotels-The-Orange-Tree.h2276915.Hotel-Information) > > [Cave Hotel & Golf Resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Faversham-Hotels-Cave-Hotel-Golf-Resort.h33410673.Hotel-Information) > > [Radisson Hotel Manchester City Centre, A Verified Net Zero Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Manchester-Hotels-Park-Inn-By-Radisson-Manchester-City-Centre.h2601411.Hotel-Information) > > [De Vere Tortworth Court](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bristol-Hotels-De-Vere-Tortworth-Court.h570412.Hotel-Information) > > [Redworth Hall Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Newton-Aycliffe-Hotels-Redworth-Hall-Hotel.h517266.Hotel-Information) > > [Royal Whitby](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Whitby-Hotels-The-Royal-Hotel.h57917040.Hotel-Information) > > [Aphrodites Group](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Windermere-Hotels-Aphrodites-Group.h901033.Hotel-Information) > > [Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hook-Hotels-Four-Seasons-Hotel-Hampshire.h986107.Hotel-Information) > > [Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Towcester-Hotels-Hilton-Garden-Inn-Silverstone.h48251404.Hotel-Information) > > [Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bristol-Hotels-Hampton-By-Hilton-Bristol-Airport.h16543862.Hotel-Information) > > [De Vere Wokefield Estate](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Reading-Hotels-De-Vere-Wokefield-Estate.h1044123.Hotel-Information)
