This is one of the best hotel/restaurants I’ve stayed at during the Basel show for the last 10 Years. The owners are amazing and will most definitely come back next year.

Nice hotel but warning for you

Posted 24-Nov-2017
It is on the French area, so only 1 bus goes to/from there . One every hour till 20:30 from Basel. Nice and quiet hotel but a little far and not very connected to the city center of basel.

Won't Stay Again

Posted 06-Nov-2017
I stayed on two occasions. On the first I had a late meeting and was going to catch the train to the hotel. I emailed them letting them know it would be around 11pm and their exact response was lobby closes at 10pm. The second time I had a nontinted window in my shower! I'm not sure how the expect people to use the shower with anyone able look in on youyou!

Great little hotel in great location

Great small homely hotel in quiet residential location. Clean very comfortable. Good restaurant. Brilliant location Yards from river Rhine and riverside walk. Town centre nearby. New pedestrian Bridge across river into Germany. Easy access to historic bustling city of Basel in Switzerland. Easy to get to trains to Strasbourg and Freiburg. EuroAirport close by too.

Convenient and Friendly Hotel

Posted 29-Aug-2017 on Hotels
I arrived just at the tail end of their annual August shutdown. The sign explaining that they were going to reopen that day was in French (unsurprising given that the hotel is in France). It didn't give the time that they'd return but the check-in time was given as 4:00 PM and when we returned after 4:00 PM they were ready. It's a small hotel and the front desk is not staffed 24 hours/day. But the desk clerk was very helpful with everything we needed. The parking is a bit cramped by American standards but we had no problems getting in and out. You can conveniently walk across a pedestrian bridge to shopping in Germany, where you can catch a tram to Basel, Switzerland.

Hotel near Basel. Note it's in France

Posted 28-Aug-2017
We knew we would be late so tried to find out how to get in after 10pm. When I phoned my French was inadequate and his English non existent. Hotel website should have an email and explain that if you arrive late you should ring the hotel when you get to it.

Pleasant Stay

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Don't be put off by the area or the front appearance of the hotel. Once inside the hotel is clean and welcoming. The room was a good size and the onsite restaurant made it easy to eat and relax for the evening. Air conditioning in the room was good and needed in the 25+ degree heat.
