I stayed in this hotel 2 time. Both times I expressed my points. The facilities are old, out dated, or not working. The gym needs to be bought in some new equipment. Runners are good but other things are really old. Hot tub, is never hot. They should call it, "Cold Tub".
The steam room is also cold room and dirty.
Swimming pool, is ok, but the guys around the pool (life man) are always spitting in the bin, or around. I never saw them to spit in the pool, but have suspicious. Rooms are clean, but amenities are old. They shouldn't really call it 5 star. It is in all mean a 4 start hotel, according to me, a person who travels a lot around the world.
Truly enjoyed my stay in the Central Hotel. The hotel is just a block away from Nanjing Road and there are many local restaurants and shops nearby the hotel. Better to just pay for the room and enjoy a nice breakfast in the neighborhood.
This opulent hotel is beautiful. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. Rooms are well appointed with lots of space! The pillows are hard however. Had I stayed longer, I would have requested a much softer pillow.

This is the most convenient hotel with lots of shopping and restaurants. Situated right on Nanjing Road where the pedestrian shopping is. The Bund is only 10 min walk and Yui Garden is about 30 min. away. There is also a large clothing center (two full buildings) 4 blocks on the left close to the Bund. Subway station for no. 2 line is also a block away. Everything is closed but the traffic is quite bad if you have to drive. Higher floor rooms have a good view. Staff is fine.
Very nice room, large with bathtub, couches. Everything was in good condition and worked fine. They checked me in early at 1:30 with no problem and checkout is 2pm. A hotel that actually lets you stay 24hrs!
Located at middle of the walking street. Room is clean and well maintained. Front desk receptionists all speak good english. Breakfast is bad for foreigner, coffee and tea were served in a jug. Overall worth the price.
