Smile is in a great location, just off the main road. The staff was very helpful with directions and information about Hua Hin. Our room was clean and breakfast had a good variety of foods. Smile is a nice boutique hotel in a great location.

A very clean and good value hotel
It is not the Ritz ,but it is very clean ,the staff are brilliant. It is of a good standard , Breakfast is good but can be a little boring if you are their for any length of time but I enjoyed it .But we've stayed here 4 times and would have no problems staying here again. Easy to get to from the Railway station or from the new bus station , where the VIP coaches from Bangkok come and go price 200 bht arranged through Bell. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and you are 3 minutes from the Market Village ,where a Tesco Lotus store may be found and in the basement a food court that provides excellent food ,very good value for money. So don't be afraid to stay here , in my view you will be pleased.

Reasonable mid budget hotel away from centre
Welcoming, friendly staff. Decent size room, reasonably clean. Was fairly quiet in the hotel as not many guests but you will need earplugs if its busier and if you can't sleep through the noise of the passing trains. Hotel away from the main drag but easy enough to get anywhere on foot or by taxi. Plenty of massage parlours, bars, cafés and restaurants next to the hotel and it's also not far (10 min walk) from a great evening food market in Soi 88. Breakfast wasn't anything special, pretty bland buffet choice and terrible coffee. It's a reasonable mid budget hotel but I'll likely try somewhere else next time.

I had a fantastic stay at Smile hotel Hau Hin, I look forward to go back there, I just wish I had a sea facing room, otherwise a wonderful few days were spent there and very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice Quirky Hotel!
Pleasent stay in quieter part of Hua Hin. About half hours walk to town or about 10mins by baht bus, though if out till late evening you`ll need a taxi to get back, fare about 100 baht. reasonably close to beach but you`ll have to cross a very busy dual carraigeway road.. which requires care. Location of hotel is about half way up Soi 94 (Soi Hua Hin) from main Road before railway line. No problems with noise from trains.

Well the hotel is clean. but it look like the out dated. The breakfast is poor. One choice of fruit and basic eggs. Not worth to pay to include it in your staying. Can not be called a resort. It is a simple hotel that is clean and basic.

Perfect stay in wonderful beach city
Perfect location, very nice hotel and a great room with a terrific free breakfast. Could walk minutes to dozens of restaurants, market or beach. Easy walk to night markets or huge mall. We loved Smile Hotel!!

Great hotel with good pool
Smile was in a good location, has lots of restaurants and massages places nearby and the staff were great, especially with the kids. Breakfast was good, although watch out for the spicy dishes! We spent a lot of time in the pool. Overall a great stay, thanks Smile.

Smile is fine, great staff, if your room not pool side, you WILL be kept awake by the trains all night, the breakfast was the same as 2 yrs ago, really need to change menu on regular basis, after 3 days your really fed up with it, as there's little choice, Would I stay again if I wanted that area, yes.

Smile hotel that really makes you smile.
Very friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast. Easy walking distance to so much of Hua Hin-beach, shopping, markets. Has its own lovely swimming pool. We would happily stay there again.

Easy ling in Soi 94
A short stay to catch up with a close friend. Hotel was clean and well managed. Breakfast area opened onto the pool. The latter was excellent. Brekkie selection reasonable.Plenty of eating places nearby - this part of Hua Hin doesn't attract quite the crowds that nearer the beach does. Go over the railway line for some good eating enjoyed by the locals....

Great stay at Smile Hua Hin
This was a great budget hotel with the extremely friendly staff. It was a 5 min walk to the beach or shopping mall. Breakfast buffet was included and was good. The Thai dishes were excellent. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The salt water pool was a nice touch.

weekend getaway. Comfortable room! Decent free breakfast. Location very convenient to all. Hua hin a little more expensive but a great alternative to the bustle of pattaya Hotel a nice value.

Good stay. Priced too high.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice place but there are better deals for the money in Hua Hin. Rooms are basic and if you are a light sleeper you don't want to be facing the mountain view as the hotel is close to the railway and trains run all night.

- The construction mentioned in the review before is over (at least I didn't hear or see anything) - Leisurely walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes; crossing the big road between the hotel and the beach can be intimidating during rush hours, otherwise it's a nice walk - Very leisurely walk to the old city center (Hilton) takes about 1 hour via beach, less by the main road, or you can get a baht bus (10 baht), motorbike (80 baht) or tuk-tuk (not sure). Then again - there are not many reasons to go there, since except for the adult nightlife the neighborhood around hotel pretty much has it all - massage, restaurants, night market, etc. All in all, definitely recommended, unless you have small children and fat vacation budget, in which case you may want to stay directly on the beach.

We like this hotel , nice location just a short 5 minute walk to the beach but you would probably need a taxi or tuk tuk to the main center area , al-do the hotel is very close to the Shopping Centre and has everything you need around it within walking distance

Nice hotel, great staff, normal breakfast, well below UK standard but have enough toast and you will be ok. If you have early check out to rail station, book your own taxi, as hotel was to provide lift, but after arranging the day before, at5.45 am and train leaves at 6, no one showed, had to get taxi, at nearly 6am, I was not happy, this was only part of hotel that let me down, 10min walk to big very clean shopping mall, great beach 10mins walk, great food on doorstep.

Good location at Smile hotel, Hua Hin
stop gap for us and handy location for Market Village (Tesco) and other shops, nearby beach over very busy road with pedestrian crossing but still a life or death chance of rea hing other side. Hotel overall was good lovely staff, breakfast was good in a lovely open dining room plenty of choice. Rooms with small balcony but adequate, not a lot of hanging space or drawers so worked out of suitcase but good laundrette around corner entry of eateries closeby. As said before kettle, cups but no tea or coffee which would have been nice as you wake up.

A very friendly staff running an excellent hotel
This is the third time we have stayed at Smile Hua Hin, and from that fact alone you can deduce I am a fan of this hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, even by Thai standards, and you will find the hotel is built, maintained and run by people who care about their visitors. You will find any facilities you need just outside the hotel (including the best breakfast restaurant I have visited anywhere), and a 100bt taxi trip will take you downtown if that's what you like. When I return to Hua Hin, I will book a room here again.

Best hotel I've stayed in in Thailand bar none!
Lovely small hotel with the nicest staff and owners I have ever met in all my 20 years coming to Thailand,huge room and spotless clean,very good breakfast and they did not charge extra for my sons,most hotels charge if there is more than 2 in the room usually 200baht per day for extra persons breakfast.really cheap for laundry as well.
