It's an interesting property to stay in. Probably built in the '70's, it's starting to decay and fall apart. But it is right on the beach, has a relaxed vibe and the rooms are fine. It reminds me of the way Thailand was is the 70's and 80's. A number of highrise hotels have been built around, but this resorts clings on to the way it was!

Beautiful spot but a little tired and a few things missing from making it much better. A bar service at the pool, an on location restaurant that does more than breakfast. The pool has significant amounts of green algae on the walls that brushes off very easily indicating pool cleaning isn’t being done well enough. Not a horrible stay by any means but would be a struggle to get me to go back.

Location is very nice, but we were not lucky with the beach, it was covered with jelly fish. Food options suffered because the place is not busy, so most of the days we were going to another hotel to eat breakfasts

We were the last guests to leave in April 2020 so we were looking forward to returning to what is our favourite hotel. We only stayed 2w 4d as we were concerned about how much of the village would be open, in fact there were enough restaurants and bars to keep us happy even if we had stayed our normal 4 weeks. The hotel is still offering a reduced service, when we arrived the reception was unmanned and we went to the Regent Hotel for breakfast however by the time we left there was normally someone in reception and a restaurant had started serving breakfast. I expect that the hotel will have returned to normal by the next high season. Our Chalet was immaculate and work was being carried out on some of the others to rectify 3 years of neglect (the work didn't intrude). No big bad issues, just some areas are a bit sad however I have no doubt that it will be back to normal by November which is when we plan to return for a longer stay. Summary - Coming back to life and even in its current state very nice and OK to stay at.

The Resort is very nice, beautiful swimming pool and garden, sea view restaurant, perfect for families. The access to the beach is not so easy, though. Good place to stay.

Very nice place to stay. We spend 11 nights in this resort and almost everything was good. This resort is worth to be renovated as the chalets are worn a bit. The beach is beautifull. Kids loved pool which was very clean. Brakefast was the best beggining of every day with variety of food. I loved the Thai sups and noodles. Little problem is wifi which works only close to lobby and pool but it will change soon as they start to install routers to every room. I can really advice this resort.

Spaceiuos room lage t.v walkin shower cleaned most mornings nice and peacefull place set in lovely surrounds not for hen and stag nights large swiming pool and a smaller one for kids plus a play area. an italyian resturant on the grounds.

Beautiful and well maintenanced garden. Room decoration was old stye,same style since I was a child. Beds were hard ,not comfortable for me. Room are spacious and clean. TV channels were good. Beach area was beautiful. Breakfast was limited in choices.

Nice hotel , close to the beach. Quiet and private
I made a reservation for 3 nights for a family room. I stayed at a cabin and I had a problem with mosquitoes so I asked for a room upgraded. I was told that the cost would be as much as what I paid so I asked if I could get reimbursed for the last two nights or at least one night but the staff said I wouldn’t get a refund. I talked to the agent that I booked the room from for help and I was told that the hotel has final say and suggested me to talk to the hotel staff.I was hopeless but I finally offered to move to a bigger room with no extra payment. The room was very nice and big. I was impressed and liked t a lot. The hotel is right near the beach and has a nice pool. Location is great but it’s quite far from town. You’ll need a car to get around if you want to go to market. I like the place I will visit again for sure.

This is an excellent place to relax. The pool is clean and the rooms spacious. The staff are helpful and friendly. It was a good location to use as a base for day trips to visit the Friends of Wildlife elephant sactuary which is exceptional.

Good value if you're OK with the old style
We booked a two room suite for our family. We first got a huge suite but didn't want separate beds in the master bedroom and also had no use for this amount of space, so we switched to a smaller suite with sea view and three (!) balconies. This second suite was much cozier and definitely big enough. This hotel is quite old and I get the feeling not much has changed since 1980, it could almost be called chic retro if it wasn't for the LCD TVs. The location is off, but there is a little village that you can walk to and find some restaurants and there also some places along the beach. We really did like this place though. The breakfast buffet was great and the staff was very friendly. It’s a place for relaxing, not partying. Bed bed was kind of hard for us westerners but still OK. The wifi did not reach the suite unless you stuck out your phone from the balcony but for us that was fine (talk to each other instead, people). The pool is quite shallow (1,5 m as deepest) but big enough and it also had a basketball hoop which our son had a lot of fun with. Good value for money if you’re OK with the old style of the room.

Wonderful relaxing stay.Hotel nearly empty ( out of season) but very well catered for by all the staff .Chalet was great and cleaned every day .Beach was great as well as the pool .We had it too ourselves Breakfast was amazing considering their were only a handful of guest staying there.Town was like a goats town only a few eating places open .Hotel also provided us with birthday cake and also annivarsery cake free of charge .Thank you regent chalet staff members we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

Perfect weekend getaway!
Location, location and location! Right on the beach. Pretty cottages, an amazing pool, and a fantastic breakfast. We only stayed a night here, but hope to be back soon. Also, we travelled with my parents, and my mum is disabled, but the place is wheelchair friendly. Absolutely recommend it. Just a few steps to climb to the cottage. But there are pathways that make pushing the wheelchair easy. It was the perfect weekend getaway.

Quite place on the beach
We were upgraded and were given bungalow only for us. We stayed 5 wonderful nights in very peaceful place.The hotel is located on the beach and has the big pool. Nearest village with restaraunts and massage places are within 15 mins walking distance. The hotel provides free "golf car" ride to the "Regent beach" hotel and then you need to walk only 3mins to the village. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Dissapointed.
Believed we had booked a 2 bed chalet. We were sent to an older 3 storey building. Given large 2 bed unit on first floor. Large but old and very musty. Asked about 2 bed chalet I thought I had booked, to be told booked out, then no , they didnt have those rooms now. Asked to be changed to a ground floor room. Obliged and gave us a smaller place, again old and musty. Luggage bench falling away from wall. Kitchen sink pulling away. It was clean but not what I had thought Ide booked. Athough part of Regent Chalet, it is called by another name. Grounds nice. Pool big. Not particularly deep, so quite warm. Not much to do outside hotel grounds. Golf buggy shuttle takes you to store at new Regent Hotel nearby. A pleasant stay, but great dissapointment re accomadation given.

The bungalow style of accomodation was a unique experience. MY GF and I enjoyed the setting, being steps away from the Gulf beach. There is also a pool if you prefer the fresh water. We spent one early evening on the lounge chairs fronting the beach. On our arrival, the toilet was backed up. When we went out for an excursion and got back, it was repaired. So kudos to the maintenance staff. When checking in, for some reason, it took a long time. Seemed slightly disorganized. The landscaping with the flowers and neatly groomed grass offered a nice setting for photos around the property. Not resort style but still worth walking around with your significant other. The property is out of the way. Luckily, my GF drove me around so we were able to access some good restaurants. You pretty much need a car to be in this area for efficient use of time.

A PLACE TO RELAX
If you want to be in a big hotel, near restaurants and night life this is not the place for you. It is a little bit far from Hua HIn, in our case was not important since we have a private car. It is a place for families or couples willing to relax and enjoy a peaceful place. You can enjoy walking to the beach without people around you selling souvenirs, there are other hotels near but mostly private residences. The gardens are fantastic, having breakfast on a deck in front of the see is fantastic. We stayed in superior chalet, I think there are a bit more pricey but got more privacy, and looks more maintained. It is definitely a good value for the money. I will go there again.

A little gem on the beach
Very friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Excellent room which was kept spotless. Efficient air conditioning system but noisy. We had no safe in the room but other rooms did. We used the safety deposit box in reception.Pool was clean with plenty of sun loungers and beach towels. Breakfast was plentiful but you knew what you would be getting. It did not vary however the restaurant overlooked the sea so the setting made up for this. You could have other meals in the hotel but we chose to eat out. Hotel is quiet and laid back ideal for a relaxing holiday. Exercise room could be developed further, but nice to have some form gym on site. It is a little gem of a place and we would hope it will stay like this and not become too commercialised.

Our stay here was just as we had wanted, very peaceful and relaxing. The staff where all very friendly, attentive and English speaking. The position on the beach was amazing and the swimming pool equally good. The chalet was nice, well past its sell by date and in need of refurbishment, I should imagine it was fantastic 20 years ago. Definately NOT a four star establishment, only a two. But for the price it was good. The menu could do with being a little bigger, if you are just staying at the hotel not enough choice.

I dont think the photos on hotels.com really respresented what we got. The hotel doesnt seem to have been redone since the place was built. The bathrroms are very basic and our room smelt of urine. We told the staff but they didnt seem bothered. Would not recommend it!

The stay was uneventful though clean. Good pool but beach is too narrow and rocky. The stated bed choice was not provided, in fact poorly managed. 2 Doubles were as the web site stated and paid for but was provided with a King and then switched to 2 X Super Singles. It does not take much for the hotel to clear the beach of the rocks there to ensure a good beach. As it is, the beach does not do it justice.

It is probably not fair for me to rate this stay as it was a bit “special” We arrived and found a very bad smell in the room, opened up doors and windows to let in some fresh air, but it didn’t help. I then saw that someone had fixed the kitchen sink and not put in a water lock, so every time someone in the resort was using shower or even toilet the smell was coming straight into our apartment. It took almost 3 hours before I could explain that sending a cleaning lady to clean the sink would not fix this. Reluctantly we stayed first night in this smell of raw sewage, well we had no option till they could move us to a cabin next day. Biggest disappointment is actually that they charged me for that first night’s stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a night before the Hua Hin triathlon and were very pleased we did. Quick and easy check in, huge room and an upgrade to sea view when we found there wasn't a king bed in our room. We arranged breakfast boxes for a 5am pick up as the race was an early start, and very nice boxes were ready on time. The only minor hiccup was the staff wanted us to leave our high end race bikes unlocked, outside reception, in a dark area, but with persistance we took them to our room and all was well. The restaurant was also very nice, with a Thai and western menu in addition to the set buffet. Situated on the beach, the view from the restaurant deck was quite lovely. There was also an inside area with sitcom for those who prefer less exposure to the elements. Overall, this was a very nice, affordable hotel in the Hua Hin are that we plan to visit again in the future.

A great location
This delightful hotel is situated between Cha Am and Hua Hin on a miles long stretch of sand. It's quiet but the bustling towns are in easy access. The log cabins are cleverly situated to create privacy in the lovely gardens. A small village with plenty of restaurants is within walking distance. Breakfast on a deck over the beach is a wonderful start to the day.

Superb location
We had a lovely stay at Regent Chalets. The gardens are lovely and the chalet's scattered around so you get a great sense of privacy. Breakfast overlooking the beach is wonderful and the large pool and sunbathing area is a treat. Just a step from this area onto the beach. The wifi connection leaves a lot to be desired and can only be used, free, in public areas. A quiet, peaceful place but with easy access to bustling,busy Hua Hin.
