Three Nights

Posted 25-Mar-2017
Pros: Very close to all you need in HUA WIN Good for a short stay
Cons: Place needs a renovation as very tired looking No pool tables in sight as per pictures on line
Location: Beach, Bars Two Night Markets and Fantastic Market Village shopping complex a few minutes walk or 10Baht ride away
Staff reluctant to help with baggage as no lift and I have a hernia Room very small and outdated Old style TV did not bother to turn it on No Jug for hot drinks in room Room a bit smelly as ash tray there so obvious smoking allowed Breakfast very small but tasty and served well

Overall everything was all right. The breakfast was filling, though underwhelming. My main problem was the air conditioner, which blew straight on my head, leaving me with the option of catching a head cold and sore throat (which I did) or not getting proper sleep. Internet was patchy. On the other hand, the location is pretty good.

Wonderful budget hotel, excellent location, staff

Posted 20-Mar-2017 on Hotels
We very much enjoyed Chaba Chalet. We will be back. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We opted not to have cleaning, but our clean towels and water were there waiting for us every day. In other hotels, we always have to go and ask. All three people at the front desk were great! Breakfast lady was excellent! Location is the best! Room was spacious and very bright with a beautiful view! Whenever I asked for hot water for tea, people gladly gave it to me. But, it would be great if there was a hot water dispenser in the lobby for us to take ourselves. Also, a microwave would be nice in the lobby to heat up anything.

Rude and unhelpful

Posted 23-Feb-2017
Advertised wifi in room was not available. Staff flat out refused to acknowledge my grievance. Many hotels in same area better customer service at a cheaper rate. Try off main road towards Hua Hin mall. Expedia came to my rescue refunding my remaining nights there so I could find something more suitable.

Close to night marked and beach.

Cons: An elevator would be nice instead of all the stairs.
Quiet hotel and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait long for breakfast to be served.

Good location if you want to be close to town

Posted 28-Jun-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Great location to town, beach and sights such as the Rail station
Cons: The main problem we had was the fact the fridge would turn off everytime you removed the room key card to head out
Location: Artist Village, Cicada Markets (weekend only), Hin Lek Fai mountain lookout (must do view #2 just inside gate on right, Phraya Nakhhon cave - amazing!
The google map is pretty useless informing you the where-bouts of this hotel - its actually just a paralell street away from the main street, but surprisingly quiet, we where on the second floor. Good Air-con and good serviced room. Breakfast is basic but we enjoyed starting the day with their rice soup (con-geel) and they had a big urn of cold water to use in the dining area which opens out onto the street. As far as location its only 10-15 minutes walk to the night markets and about the same to the beach, we hired a bike for 200bht/day and went further afield in search of other highlights and would highly recommend heading out to the 'Artist Village' slightly north west about 8km - don't forget to head out on the new long concrete pier in the evening to see locals relaxing in the sea-breeze. I'm sure there are other places in the same price bracket closer to the beach but we were looking for something a bit quiet and this hotel was great in that regard.
