The hotel was clean, batroom had bathtub with a drain plug, same for lavatory. That helps very much when you want to wash your daily laundry....
Water for shower was hot, even had to mix in cold...there was even shampoo and soap botle dispensers.
Mini fridge was clean and cold, ac was cold and efficient.
Overall one of the best stays so far.
One peculiar feature...we had to put 200 baths as a feposit for room key(in case we loose it...be prepared)
Thank you!

Budget Seekers Rejoice
Listen, this hotel is exactly what it advertises to be, a no frills cheap hotel within walking distance of the train station. The room was badly in need of modernizing and a facelift, but they're not charging you prices like that has already been done. This place is for the budget conscious traveler. Probably not the best place to take a family, especially with small children. There is an onsite restaurant/kitchen, but I didn't use it and I'm not sure if it is open right now because of coivd caused economic downturns throughout Thailand.
Bottom line: I got exactly what I thought I was paying for with this hotel, a clean bed with A/C, a private bathroom with shower, and a location I could walk to from the train station at 3am.
The price is reasonable. I just wish that they have at least a water heater on their room, But overall, It was a nine stay with them. I am looking forward to come back again.
The property was old but comfortable . The shower was good . No safe . Open air eating area was great . Breakfast ok . Good value for the money . Great location . I definitely would stay there again .
Stay was for 5 nights and this is my 2nd time at Chaba. Price and location good. Breakfast is okay and you can choose American or Thai alternative. 10-15 min walk to the beach. Weeks before my arrival, I modified my reservation online to extend 1 day, but staff member stated that I owed extra night. She finally found the email record of my payment and apologized. This was definitely a Hotels.com/Chaba communication issue. Other than this issue, no problems.

Average stay but location is good
Stay is average but location is good...however need improvement into some areas if they claim 3 star hotel..examples 1. No electronic kettles in room 2. No elevators, my room is on 3rd floor.
I’m staying in a single room. The aircond is excellent, the shower is great, the bed is awesome! Location is 2mins walk to night market, 4mins walk to train station. 2mins walk from the Songtaew (minibus) station. Reachable to the beach by walking also. Basically this hotel is in the middle of everything. Breakfast is included and good. I’m happy to stay here and will definitely return. I’m recommending this hotel to everyone!
An excellent budget hotel. very good value for the money. The location is convenient. The breakfast that is included is very good. The rooms are spartan (as is to be expected in a budget hotel) but complete and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Very convenient to walk around the area in downtown to nights market restaurant and more
Quick check in. The frontdesk staff was very nice to check us in eventhough it's just past 10am. She even gave us one of the handicap superior rooms at the ground floor, just next to the parking area. The room looks new. Nice queen bed. 4 soft pillows. Warm blanket/comforter. TV has many English channels. The small refrigerator has 2 bottles of water. They have multipurpose area in one side of the bed that can be used as a dresser with huge mirror, as a cabinet with 5 cloth hangers, as table, as luggage rack, etc. Bathroom has new installed toilet bowl and I like the sink too.
Cons: No complementary coffee supplies and coffee maker. Though you can ask a cup or two of hot water in their restaurant. Aircon is sometimes weak. The small refrigerator is put flat on the floor. Lots of mosquitos especially in the morning. The worst: the yellow water that comes out in the bathroom and the nasty smell of sewage that comes out from the drainage. When I cover it using the floor rug, 75% of the smell goes away.
Nevertheless, we ended up staying for 6 nights in three separate bookings because it served our purpose - the location, which is close to everything. I started to feel uncomfortable with the staff during our last few days though.
Staff reluctant to help with baggage as no lift and I have a hernia
Room very small and outdated
Old style TV did not bother to turn it on
No Jug for hot drinks in room
Room a bit smelly as ash tray there so obvious smoking allowed
Breakfast very small but tasty and served well

Overall everything was all right. The breakfast was filling, though underwhelming. My main problem was the air conditioner, which blew straight on my head, leaving me with the option of catching a head cold and sore throat (which I did) or not getting proper sleep. Internet was patchy. On the other hand, the location is pretty good.
We very much enjoyed Chaba Chalet. We will be back. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We opted not to have cleaning, but our clean towels and water were there waiting for us every day. In other hotels, we always have to go and ask. All three people at the front desk were great! Breakfast lady was excellent! Location is the best! Room was spacious and very bright with a beautiful view! Whenever I asked for hot water for tea, people gladly gave it to me. But, it would be great if there was a hot water dispenser in the lobby for us to take ourselves. Also, a microwave would be nice in the lobby to heat up anything.
Advertised wifi in room was not available. Staff flat out refused to acknowledge my grievance. Many hotels in same area better customer service at a cheaper rate. Try off main road towards Hua Hin mall. Expedia came to my rescue refunding my remaining nights there so I could find something more suitable.

Convenient and clean
Train Station Hua Hin just five minutes walk from hotel. Good taste breakfast set with toasts, a sausage, eggs, orange juice and coffee or tea.
The google map is pretty useless informing you the where-bouts of this hotel - its actually just a paralell street away from the main street, but surprisingly quiet, we where on the second floor. Good Air-con and good serviced room. Breakfast is basic but we enjoyed starting the day with their rice soup (con-geel) and they had a big urn of cold water to use in the dining area which opens out onto the street.
As far as location its only 10-15 minutes walk to the night markets and about the same to the beach, we hired a bike for 200bht/day and went further afield in search of other highlights and would highly recommend heading out to the 'Artist Village' slightly north west about 8km - don't forget to head out on the new long concrete pier in the evening to see locals relaxing in the sea-breeze.
I'm sure there are other places in the same price bracket closer to the beach but we were looking for something a bit quiet and this hotel was great in that regard.
one of the best location you can find for this price in Hua Hin. walking distance to places to eat, supermarket, night market, morning market, n beach. bed was comfortable n AC was very good. ask for lower floor room. you can't fault them for not having lift.
Minimal water flow in shower. Tired fittings. Ok for cheap accommodation. Walk up over 3 levels

The hotel is in a good location
It's a 5 mins walk to Hau Hin railway station and not far from the market.
For the price of 764.00 Baht per night you can't really complain about the bedrooms as they do need to be updated. The breakfast is naff and one of the breakfast staff that looks like the English Ann Robinson ( she wears black and pink glasses ) is a little bit of a grumpy old cow. Reason: because I don't eat eggs and asked for more toast, but her reply was NO. The other staff are fab

great location
i have stayed here before,so i know it,s near the train station, the beach, the restaurants and bars, and handy for public transportation, nice clean hotel, great staff, rooms are ok,just need the bathrooms modernising, but overall good enough, will stay there again.
Our first trip to Hua Hin. Chaba C. is a basic hotel. The rooms are quite small. The desk staff know enough English to help us. You can use the room AC only when in room. The result...you are in a hot stuffy room until the AC cools things and eventually circulates air. Great location! 10 mins. from the beach. 5 mins. yo the night market. Lots of great places to eat outside the hotel.
The worst hotel l ever stayed in my life. First of all, there is no elevator we have to used stair all the way to the 3rd floor including my 88 year old mother in law.
There are no maintain in the hotel. Rooms are old and need to be painted, faucet leaked, noisy air conditioning, no safe,
Not very appetizing breakfast and staff can hardly speak any English.

have stayed here before, ideal location for bars, restaurants, the beach and railway station also a short walk from all the van stations from bangkok, dated rooms and showers but overall a good hotel, great staff!!
Central to everything, Great Coffee shop next door, I booked the hotel and then booked a couple more nights and I made a mistake on dates, Not a bother from the owner, it's pretty central to everything from train station to restaurant row, enjoyed it, comfortable and Quiet, which is tough to find in Thailand... Would stay again
The bathroom needs improvement.
Water stucked and could not flow.

Budget hotel near train station, night bazaar.
I took overnight train from Butterworth, Malaysia to Hua Hin, Thailand and to the hotel just a short walking distance. Walking to the beach within 15-20 minutes, from hotel to night bazaar less than 5 minutes. No lift in the hotel and the breakfast just egg and sausages or fried rice. Bus and minivan to Bangkok also nearby. I will stay in this hotel again.
