We have only ever stayed at one hotel that was worse, and only because it had black mold. This hotel is not far from that. The bathroom fan was broken allowing moisture to build up. The toilet was detached from the floor and ready to fall over. The shower control knob was detached and allowed water to flow freely into the gaps. There was no floor moldings to secure the carpet, and the carpets were shredded and falling apart. The couch was unusable and without a mattress. The front desk was unaware of the difference between an emotional support animal and a service dog, thus violating several laws under the Federal ADA laws. Additionally the breakfast was minimal and I saw several food code violations, so we did not partake in the food for fear of food poisoning. The coffee was undrinkable and we had to dump it down the drain. When staff was made aware of the issues we were met with indifference, and when we asked for a usable couch or a rollaway bed we were denied the request. Our daughter had a last minute change in her rooming arrangement so she stayed with us, and was forced to sleep on the disgusting floor. We had to purchase additional blankets and protection for her from the floor. Thankfully we had brought our own pillows so it was one thing we didn’t have to purchase for her. It was a terrible experience. We will NEVER be back.
