The accommodation and over all impression was fine. The decor was bot dated and tired - some bare carpets and peeling wall paper - only small but noticeable. The most notable point was that as were were waiting in reception to leave the receptionist seemed to be receiving 'a dressing down' from a superior. Should not be done in sight of the guests

A very warm welcome, quick check in, the room was very spacious if dated, but perfect for what we needed.

Our shower was broken so not great. My breakfast has burnt toast under my scrambled egg so everything tasted burnt and the eggs were not freshly cooked anyway. One slice of bacon too do not impressed.

We had a really good stay at the imperial hotel. The room was clean and bigger than we expected! Staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions. The only thing that wasn’t great was the parking. I was under the impression that there was a car park that all guests could park in however the car park only has around 5 spaces maybe? And you need to pre-book to park in it which wasn’t made clear at all! So I ended up paying £28 (£7 a day) for parking permits to park on the street outside the hotel. We also left a sign on our door when we went out one day to have our room serviced (which we had done before with absolutely no issues. Everything was perfect.) to find the door still open when we got back and nobody in there? So the people who came to service our room didn’t close the door, luckily none of our belongings were taken. Other than that the hotel was perfect for a few days stay in Brighton. Close to the beach, about a mile away from the pier but the bikes are a 2 minute walk away from the hotel which was very handy.

Great location in Hove. Easy walking distance to beach and Brighton and lots of restaurants nearby.

When we arrived we asked for parking we never got it we had to phone car parks to get a permit for our stay from Thursday to Sunday we spent an hour of our time trying to phone the parking people we tried doing on line that was a nightmare On the Saturday we went out for the day came back to find the lift was broken so we had to walk up three flights of stairs I’m 74 and not great on my feet it wasn’t going to be fixed until Monday I also had breathing problems over the stairs felt quite faint after arriving at my room other wise we enjoyed our stay mrs m WHARTON room 312
