The moment I got out of my cab I was greeted by a very friendly upbeat doorman named Louise who was very attentive of handling my bag after I had a very long flight. You will not be disappointed the moment you walk in! I was greeted by Angel at the receptionists desk and he checked my in very quickly and handled all my room requests with professionalism. The room was fantastic and once my head hit the pillow I was out like a light. The restaurant and bar in the Sam did not disappoint one bit! The breakfast in the restaurant part was very delicious and I was a frequent visitor. The coffee and waitresses were very attentive to fill my cup with hot coffee each morning. The bar had a selection of top shelf and local liquors that really impressed me, but what made the bar awesome was the bartender Brian...he went out of his way for every costumer that came through his doors. Brian's expertise is defiantly proven in every drink he makes and the beers he pours (great local bear and bourbon). The bar food was delicious! I had the wings, flatbread, cheese cake, and vanilla ice cream; honestly you will not be disappointed by his professionalism and friendliness. I wished I could have stayed at the Sam for more than just the three nights to enjoy this historic building. This a 5star hotel located right next to the Hub Cap grill (recommended by one of the valets) did not disappoint. The Sam and its outstanding staff and building get a 5/5 in my book. Bravo Zulu from this Navy Veteran!
