Pros: Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast
Location: Toyota Center
Outside appearance is very deceiving. Looks run down from outside, but it's very nice on inside.

Great place

The rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff were all friendly. The only criticism I had was all the construction outside.

It was the perfect location for the Houston marathon. Not too far and not too close to the event.

Everything was great and everyone was very friendly. Remember it's downtown so you must pay for parking:-)

The room and service were excellent! If it's a holiday be prepared to wait a good deal of time for valet since it is shared with all 3 hotels on the block.

Has Potential

Upon arrival, found out only valet parking was available...it's expensive so I chose lot parking a few blocks away for less than half the price. The hotel is adorable, but unfortunately has a large vagrant population surrounding it. The front desk staff was super friendly. Once we arrived to the room, it was very fresh and clean. My biggest complaint was the elevator noise. My room was very close, and the elevator was extremely loud. No exaggerating, it sounded like a jackhammer every time it was in motion. Please suggest a room far, far from the elevator if you plan on sleeping. I would like to mention that the breakfast buffet was wonderful; it had a great assortment of hot and cold items. the staff on hand was so kind and patient. I can't say I'd stay again (some of the homeless were very aggressive-not a fault of the hotel's-but it makes coming/going unpleasant). Also, there was no peacefulness because of the elevator noise.

Social hour, breakfast , restaurant was good. Hotel staff were courteous. Parking is expensive , had to pay $33 for overnight parking. Old building but newly renovated interior looks good.

Horrible parking situation!

The room was great and the staff at the front desk was extremely helpful. The main draw backs were the road construction around the hotel made it difficult to get into and the valet parking only meant that we had to wait an hour for our car.
