Nice communal areas. Loud and tiny rooms

Posted 05-Feb-2016
The hotel staff is very helpful and professional. The lobby area is nicely decorated. The hotel rooms are extremely small and do not have mini refrigerators or microwaves. It was also very loud.

The hotel itself was very nice however there is construction across the street that kept me up all night.

Peaceful and comfortable in downtown.

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Enjoyed the peace and quiet of this very nice hotel. It was great to have a kitchenette which saved me money from having to eat out everyday. There were food stores in walking distance with great choices as well as fine restaurants and shopping that provided other options. I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.

For Business travelers only for short stays.

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Pros: Doormen and Bellhops were helpful and courteous.
I have stayed at this hotel twice before. As the hotel ages, so does the quality of the stay. If you're in and out of the city short-term, it is reasonable. Anything more than that, not enough comfort, amenities and care for your personal property. I have traveled for years on business, so I'm not surprised by much. Never received my car back from valet, at $25/day, in worse condition. As for the room, it was like staying in a cardboard box. What was wrong: the basics - shower plumbing groaned and rocked enough to wake neighbors; shower was stained and iffy; toilet paper holder completely inaccessible; GFI outlet had to be reset every morning and more than once; not enough closet space, hangars; no drawers for unpacking; Room air was stale and cleanliness questionable. There was no microwave or refrigerator - same rate as colleague with a much bigger room and amenities. At checkout, no one asked "how was your stay". :( Wifi was good.

Noisy, humping next door all night long

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise
Location: Not much to do in Houston downtown; better places in the Galeria area.
Extremely noisy; you could hear not only the room next door, but the one above also. Bed not quite as comfortable as you would expect.

Clean up needs improvement.

Posted 23-Jan-2016
All good except room clean up and shower lets water all over the floor of the bathroom. The lip of the shower stall needs to be higher to prevent this.

Small room in good location

Posted 22-Jan-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Unseal windows
Location: downtown. near main street, near convention center.
Hotel is central downtown. Rooms and baths are small - European style. Windows are sealed so no fresh air. Generally OK, not great.

“Downtown Style”

Posted 20-Jan-2016
Pros: The Price
As I have stayed many times inClub Quarters in London I was very excited tone staying in the Houston location The room rate was excellent and the best deal around which again was a big plus The lobby is very trendy and offers free coffee and tea with so very basic snacks Check in was easy and quick and the hotel has a very old style feeling Not the quickest elevator I the world and the rooms are very small but have everything you need for a comfortable stay Bathroom has just a shower but was good and powerful and both the room and bathroom very clean Internet was free and fast and reliable and the staff very friendly The car valet does take time especially on the weekdays but as it does in most large cities you just have to plan your time. I would love to stay here again

Hotel was nice but they need to update their valet parking. I was told it was full both nights I stayed there.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted 19-Jan-2016
We were very happy with our stay. The room was a tad smaller than expected, but that was the only negative for us. Staff was courteous and helpful, and the hotel was nice throughout. Fantastic location downtown, lots of entertainment and food choices within a few blocks, easy access to MetroRail, all for a surprisingly good price, which I found through Expedia.
