Very small rooms and old facilities, too expensive for what they give you back

Not a 4-Star Hotel

Posted 03-May-2017
My experience was not what I would expect out of a 4 star hotel. The room and hotel look wonderful in the photos, put upon arrival, the glitz and glamour began to unravel. We found hair that did not belong to us on the bed when we first arrived, and the king size bed that we were promised was actually 2 twin beds pushed together, covered with a queen sized flat sheet leaving the mattresses exposed. We were only given three pillows, which was not nearly enough. I called and requested more pillows 4 times and never received them. Furthermore, the room was equipped with about 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper for a 3 night stay, and there were not any extra rolls! The TV in our room also did not work. Upon arrival, we were instructed to call valet for our car 10 minutes before we planned to leave. All 4 times we called valet well in advance, and had to wait at least 10 minutes for our car. We would ask what the issue was and they told us, each time, that they did not receive our request to have to car pulled up out of Valet. This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have had, I felt very poorly taken care of, and feel like I would have had a better experience at Motel 6.

Pros: Good price, convenient location
Cons: Difficult to figure out the valet parking.
I found the bed uncomfortable and had two pretty bad nights of sleep.

The Gentle Giant

Posted 20-Apr-2017
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable. I also enjoyed being able to walk downtown with my lady and just enjoy the night.
Cons: The decor seemed a bit dated but it was tolerable.
Location: I enjoyed how the location allowed me to be able to walk to places nearby.
The night attendant whom I believe was from Africa was extremely polite. He was very courteous and also helpful when suggesting late dinner options. Very pleasant young man.

Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Service in the restaurant, cleaning of the room
Location: Restaurants and bars, close to transport.
The location of this hotel was good with bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was installing a new entertainment system so we had a number of issues with our TV that were not resolved in the time we were there. I'm sure the system will be good once its installed properly but unfortunately we were the guinea pigs. Our room was not cleaned very well while we were there and we did not have our coffee replaced at all. I would also not recommend the restaurant attached to the hotel (Table 7 Bistro). We didn't eat there thankfully but did stop by for drinks. The service was very slow and unprofessional - it was like the restaurant was being run by teenage boys, including the staff play-fighting in the kitchen.

Hotel in Downtown Houston

Posted 17-Apr-2017
The stay was good, comfortable. Need to have better signage with valet parking, as the streets are one-way, and difficult to maneuver if you are not used to them.

Great location and staff was overly friendly

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Pros: Staff and location
Location: Walking distance of Astros stadium. Enjoyed a romantic dinner at Hearsay Gastro Lounge - get the fried chicken. Sunny's Bar was a perfect nightcap.
My husband and I spent a weekend getaway in Houston and stayed at the Club Quarters. It was the perfect location for just a relaxing weekend. We walked around the city, went to a Royals/Astros game, found a dive bar down the street and met lots of friendly people. The front desk staff was very approachable and friendly the entire stay. The valet opened the door for us every time we left and arrived as they remembered us as guests so that was a very nice touch that made us feel important. We grabbed a drink at the restaurant one night and they too made us feel relaxed and like we were welcome in their "home". I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston. The location was fabulous, but their staff made the experience.

Nice hotel in downtown area but lacks any extras

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Hotel was greatbut lacked any included services short of a coffee machine in the lobby that was broken. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped.
