I was quoted 223.09 for my stay. My credit card was charged 263 and some change. When i get to the hotel the parking lot was blocked off. Had to park on the road and walk in to find out how to get in the parking lot. The guy just looked at me crazy and said you have to go around. Like I'm supposed to know. Then onnce I find my way around the parking lot when checking in, they blind side you with 5 dollar a day parking fee. Even with the parking fee the numbers don't add up. Asked for itemized biill. They daid it would be emailed. Still waiting. I've stayed here before but never again and I'll think twice before using Expedia agian if you support properties with deceptive practices.

We're sorry if there seemed to be unexpected charges that didn't match your initial quote. As for the parking guidelines, it is evident we could have provided better direction. Moving forward, we'll aim to communicate these details more efficiently. We completely understand the frustration of not receiving an itemized bill, but as you paid through a third party you will need to contact them directly for this. We can however send a receipt for the charges billed on-site, please feel free to reach out to us if this is of interest. Your feedback helps us understand where we can make improvements. We hope you consider staying with us again, so we can show you the high standard of service we're known for.

It smelled like cigarettes walking into the check-in area. It was very rundown and cheap looking. When we got to the room there was a horrible odor that smelled like rotten onions I believe coming from the carpet. I ended up shortening my trip for just that one night because I had a lake check-in I didn’t even want to stay there. I ended up not sleeping well the entire night and feeling like I was itchy, I itched the entire night and had nightmares of bedbugs. The next morning, I was unable to take a shower, because there was a cockroach in the shower. The property did not give me back my money. They gave me a pending refund for the one day that I canceled after going back-and-forth with Expedia and Expedia gave me a $25 credit for the inconvenience. I wish I would’ve gotten a full refund because they should’ve paid me to stay there and paid me for this review. They need to fumigate and renovate if they want to stay in business. The only positive thing is that the lady that checked us in was very nice and friendly and comical and she was amazing but unfortunately the hotel was just horrible.

Staff were super helpful. Location was ok, but it was old style. Tv didn’t have basic channels, air conditioner was out dated and noisy so we left it off most nights. Refrigerator was nosy. The shower water fell more from the tub faucet than the shower head. The desk in the room is too large and a smaller would be better, then include a sitting chair

The property itself is decent for some thing quick and cheap just to sleep. Our room first room had roaches in it. Like live roaches crawling around. We switched rooms. The second room I didn’t see any roaches. We tried to shower and they have no water pressure at all. Water only came out of a few holes in the shower head. So horrible! The staff was nice though. Even about switching rooms. She even checked the second room.

I booked a room at this property for one evening before I traveled to Galveston for a cruise.The gentleman who checked us in was polite but that's where the good ends.We opened the door to our room and immediately had the worst musty odor I have ever dealt with Then as soon as the light was turned on several cockroaches scrambled out of sight I turned right around and put my luggage back in our car and went to the front desk to let the gentleman know we could not stay there.He apologized and told me to call Expedia for a refund.But unfortunately the hotel has refused to refund $147 for a room that wasn't cancelled just on a whim but because it was absolutely in horrible condition.

On the positive side, room was clean, quiet location, great kitchen (without oven) with very good air conditioning and heat. On the other hand, we wish stayed elsewhere due to the sewer smell of the lobby, flea/roach infestation in our room (tons of nightly bites), and Wi-Fi that barely held one bar, kept kicking us offline, and was extremely slow. Overall we would stay again if no other hotel was available in the area.

Easy checkin and very pleasant staff. The rooms were very nice, especially considering the low price, I thought I might have a questionable lodging tonight but have been pleasantly surprised. My kids and I travel a lot and were very impressed with what was offered for a short notice booking.

I handed in my keys at 9 p.m. because this was the most unpleasant stay I have ever had. There's the broken lock, the water damage on the ceiling, the random hairs in the bed, and the smell as soon as I opened the door in a non-smoking room. The tipping point was that I was in bed (before finding the hairs) and felt itchy. And it continued. I was not about to spend a sleepless night being itchy in a dirty hotel room. The front desk lady was nice. Overall, I'm really disappointed and grossed out because I've stayed at other Sonesta's, and they were great. This one was nasty.
