Not bad, but nothing to write home about.

Posted 27-Nov-2016 on Hotels
We initially had issues with the room keys not working and were given an adjacent room. On the last day, my girlfriend was interrupted by housekeeping 4 times before our noon checkout, after being told the first time we'd be checking out that day and didn't need her services before then. Evidently, after the CST time change, the room keying wasn't also set, because after 11 AM, we got locked out of our room while loading things into our van. It was a quiet stay though, and fairly convenient for our needs, though I think we can do better for the price in the future.

Pros: room was clean, A/C worked well and the facility was safe.
Cons: lounge could be open.
Location: close to everything.
hotel was clean and pleasant for my stay. I arrived on a Sunday evening, to find the restaurant closed, as well as the lounge, that being said, their is a very good restaurant within walking distance of the facility.

Low cost overnight hotel

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Pros: Low cost, decent room to sleep. Close to shopping, restaurants and easy access to downtown.
Cons: No smoking room reeked of smoke. The clerk changed it immediately with no questions asked. Cushioned chair had a sharp pin sticking out, cut me.
Decent older accommodation for an overnight sleep.

Restaurant disappointment

Posted 22-Jul-2016 on Hotels
We live in Morgan City and chose a room here because it is close to the hospital where my husband was to have outpatient surgery at 5:30 the next morning. After checking in, we hurried to the Plantation Restaurant for a quick supper as we were told they stay open until 8:30. It was 7:45. There were 4 waitresses standing in the dining room and as we stood there, nobody said anything. Finally my husband said "ladies aren't you open?" One lady stammered a bit and said "no" and another lady said "the cooks have already left". If you advertise staying open until 8:30, then do it. It was a definite inconvenience to leave and find another place to eat when he was told not to eat after 9:00 for his surgery.
