We were in the area for Michigan Tech's preview weekend, as my son will be going there this fall. I was pleased with the hotel's distance from the school. We were within walking distance of shopping and dining while remaining six to eight minutes from the school. While the hotel was slightly outdated, overall, it was clean, which I care about the most. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff must have used furniture oil and didn't entirely wipe it up, and it stained one of my favorite shirts. Mistakes happen, but lessons are learned, and I will always check from now on. If the price is right, I would stay here again.

We do apologize if you felt that we used something on the furniture that stained your shirt however we do not use any type of furniture oil. It is certainly something that I will be sure to mention to the housekeeping department however so that they are making sure to completely wipe off any and all cleaning products used to clean in the rooms. Clean room and excellent continental breakfast probably the best I have ever had. Pool was clean and hot tub as well. Bed and pillows were a little lumpy but clean and comfortable

Quality Inn is top notch
Very nice hotel. Lobby was very inviting. Staff was very wonderful and helpful. Our king size suite was fabulous. Pool and whirlpool was clean and relaxing. I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

OK Stay, but not necessarily the hotel's fault.
Short-staffed at the front desk. Had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to show up when we checked in. Perk - they had lemonade and cookies to keep us occupied. Had some noisy families that let their kids play tag in the halls and we were right next to the stairs, so there was a lot of running/stomping up and down. When I tried to call the front desk to complain after "quiet time," I found our line did not go thru. I walked down to make complain in person. I have to say, once a complaint was made, the desk clerk did take things into their own hands and the noisey antics ceased almost immediately. (THANK YOU!!) Overall, a nice stay although I think the price was high for what we paid for.

Evening shift (after 5:00) personnel wasn’t very friendly for a desk clerk. He always seemed bothered. Stayed 3 nights and each day we got back to our room neither of our keys worked and had to get them recoded. Asked for a quiet room and where did he place us right across from the elevator and on the main floor. The beds were probably the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on, felt like a plank with a rug on them. The place was very well kept and and housekeeping did a great job. Convenient location as well.

We have several new staff members at the moment, and these are the types of things we need to know so that we can work with them on the areas they need to improve. As for the keys they do sometimes deactivate if they are put by your phone or it could have been an issue of not being programmed correctly and I will be sure to work with the staff to solve this problem. We apologize if you didn't like the beds that is not a problem that we come across often however it is something that we are looking at replacing. We do hope that you will give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations.

Great hotel!
It was very clean, very nice, the only thing stopping me from giving it a glowing recommendation is the beds were hard. I didn't sleep very well and woke up many times during the night. Breakfast in the morning was great and overall we enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again.

We liked that it was a nicer hotel for the area. Our room had a weird smell with what I believe was the carpet. They have nice touches like cookies and punch at the check in desk. Coffee and snacks.

Rooms were clean and updated. Only thing we had a prob lem with was there was no place to put washcloths/towels when using other than little knobby things on back of door and on wall. Really needs towel bars.
