Hotellet och framförallt vårt rum var verkligen superfint och hade allt man kunde önska! Hotellet ligger på ett enskilt och lugnt läge men en kort taxiresa bort fanns mysiga barer och restauranger för den som önskar detta. Enda nackdelen med stället var att det fanns en del sandflugor nere vid stranden.

Beautiful property with a venicular Railway from our room to the beach. Stunning views & nice private beach. The only downside is the hotel is isolated at a top of the hill.You can't walk to the local village as it's on a steep hill with no pavement. You can walk along the beach when the tide is out which is a novelty. Overall a lovely hotel.

Huge resort. You can walk everywhere, but it’s very hilly. Some of the paths are incredibly steep, and you have to be very careful in case it’s slippy, so definitely not suitable for everyone. The hotel has its own funicular, with 4 stops connecting the beach with the rooms and restaurant right at the top. This is a great help, but it’s SO slow and only holds 6 people. Because it was off-season, one of the restaurants was closed for refurbishment, and the gym was closed for a couple of days whilst it was being decorated. When the gym was open, it was excellent. All new equipment, and more than the average hotel gym. There isn’t really a beach - the hotel has created a kind of fake beach instead. It looks ok, but it’s hard underfoot. The food in the restaurant was excellent, both at breakfast and in the evening. Because it was so quiet, there was a smaller, more limited buffet on my first couple of mornings. My room was a bit dated, but very clean and well maintained. It was nice to have a bath to relax in. Bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Not nearly enough power sockets, and the walls and ceiling were very thin. It’s a 20-25 minute walk to both Kai Bae and Lonely Beach. They have a shuttle service three times a day to Kai Bae, but it’s only one way! And the last one is at 4pm. Generally, I was very impressed, and felt I got great value for money. The staff were mostly lovely. The upkeep of such a big place is no mean feat.

The resort is attractive with many things for families to do. The views are beautiful and the waters are clear and enjoyable to swim inside. The breakfast buffet is average and has a varied menu. The restaurant for lunch and dinner has a limited menu with some items not always being available. The resort is about a 30 minute drive from the ferry dock and when returning to the mainland on Sunday, leave early or late. We sat 2 hours in the sun and the car almost overheated because of traffic

Here is the problem. We are a family of 4 so the “family room” is waaaay up on the hill. You cannot walk to the pool or beach. The pool is really nice and on the beach and it overlooks many empty rooms that we would have loved. If you are a family of 4 looking for convenience this is not your place. There is also nothing walking distance so your only restaurant option is the restaurant at the Sylvan. The staff was very nice, breakfast was good, no problems there. We moved to 15 Palms for half the price and LOVED everything about it! No free breakfast but for $50 a night and ordering from their amazing restaurant was not a problem

I have stayed at this hotel many times as it has always been excellent, however, our last stay (8 Days) they quality has dropped significantly and I will not be returning. Hotel bed has bed mites and my wife and I were covered in bites! Many parts of hotel under refurbishment and we did not get the room we booked and had to be moved. Hotel breakfast used to be one of the best I ever had,...now it is not good and very poor....do not pay for this service! In 8 days I only bothered to go twice as it was very poor standard Over very disappointing stay....we will book another hotel next time in Kho Chang

We are surprised to hear that the gym had problems during your stay, our machines are brand new and they are of the best brand in the fitness industry (TechnoGym) and we have not heard of anything broken from our engineering team who regularly inspects all the equipment. We would love to he's more about what was that you needed fixing. With regards to the deals offered, I can see that you booked your rooms with a heavy 50% discount on our usual rates, therefore, being the cheapest rates we have had in the past several years. We also create packages at times however these are limited. Our breakfast buffet is one of the most talked points on all reviews and its is always considered a highlight for most of our guests. I am no sure what do you mean by ''updates'' so we would love to hear more about your breakfast concerns. Please feel free to call us and ask for me directly and we can discuss further. The staff at the hotel made our stay wonderful. My wife has dietary restriction and the restaurant made every effort to accommodate her needs. We had all our meals at the hotel. I would stay here again and recommend others to stay here.

One of the best choices in this island
Great place to stay, well worth the money. Good breakfast, excellent service, nice views. I stayed in many hotels on this island and to my opinion this resort is one of the best or simply the best place to stay in this price range. Hope they manage to stay this way.
Watch your stuff on the balcony, it can be gone before you know :-)

Thanks a lot for the pool villa upgrade. Your pool villa is so specious and cosy and comes with a perfect sea view. Unfortunately, I arrived with high fever. But the nice atmosphere at your pool villa helped me to recover soon. I wish I could have extended our short 3 night stay. What a beautiful place! In addition, the restaurant by the beach offers a wide range of tasty meals and your staff is welcoming, kind and helpful. Thanks a lot. Hopefully I can come back soon.

Great location, nice facilities. This is out second stay and happy with overall facility and location. Rooms are a little tired (Ocean Front Room) however beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. OK for a good sleep and a good shower, but certainly not 4 star One disappointment on this trip was being hit with additional charges for my sons rollaway bed, after booking had been accepted and paid in full (non-refundable). I was left with no choice to pay the 40% surcharge over and above my original booking, Hotel advised this was a Hotels.com error and not theirs

This hotel has a very beautiful view. We had Ocean Suite room and honeymoon suite, the honeymoon suite had a magnificent view also the bathroom and jacuzzi are amazing. The breakfast is great and variety. Ps. The bathroom in the ocean suite (Room no.6203) room is not very strong and the hot water takes a long time until it works.

Gem of a Resort
The hotel was so so so cool. We opted for the pano room and don't regret and and will book that one again on our next trip. Be vigilant about your balcony doors though or the monkeys will defo pop in and help themselves to your bananas! The sea is amazing, it did make me sad when we kayaked to see all the coral was dead or mostly dead - probably from global warming and over tourism - poor ocean! But the resort was lovely, the breakfast was massive with tons of options. Food is nice - the spicy options are defo tourist spicy - I had to ask for more chilies. The service is so hospitable and yeah - it was perfect. My only complaint is the price of the spa - I know it's a resort and it will be more expensive for a massage - but it is soooooo expensive at 1,400 baht. We would defo come back here though, was amazing. We were here during the start of rain season and it was perfectly quiet - I am sure at high season it is a bit more lively, but we preferred it quiet ! Oh yeah - the pools - both were so good and clean!

Beautiful resort with some issues
Beautiful property that has kept a lot of the plants and trees found in the area rather than turning everything into concrete and manicured gardens. Food and service were good at the beach restaurant. Pools are beautiful. Rooms have a Thai teak house décor rather than the common generic hotel look. Gym is surprisingly good for a hotel or condo. Unfortunately there are some operational and room issues that detracted from our stay. We stayed in a family room and requested a king bed. We were given two twins even though a king was available. Plus the bottom floor rooms have a very musty basement smell due to being below ground level. We got them to move us to a king on a higher floor without the smell. Alas, its main AC didn't work. The maintenance man said it was the condensor and we would need to wait for the next day to get it fixed so the first night no AC except in the side room. Next morning they fixed it. Then a few hours later the knob for draining the bathtub fell off. After that, no more problems. Bed seemed fairly new but poor quality. It is much firmer than the norm at higher end resorts these days. I live in Thailand and it reminds me of the type of mattresses that were more common 7 years ago.

Beautiful stay in Koh Chang
Had 1 spare night by chance on Koh Chang, so decided to stay at Sea View based on the reviews, photos & more. Very pleased with the large welcoming reception & very friendly staff. we had a few drinks down at the beach then collected via a buggy with our luggage to the room. Great views of the sea, clean large room with rainfall shower & very spacious. headed down to the pool towards the top of the resort, great slide even for adults and views of the sea! considering the resort was sold out their was enough sun loungers and more. had a wonderfully tasty meal down on the seafront restaurant in the evening, best massaman curry id had on the island!

Absolutly amazing stay!
Absolutely amazing stay. Wonderful staff and resort. We had to check out before breakfast so they pre-packed breakfast for us to take with. Its just the small things that make all the difference. Would defiantly recommend to all family thinking about going.

Fantastic view and beach, clean facility. Very nice breakfast and friendly staff. One drawback is that the there is no easy way to get to the nearest village but take a taxi.
