No room available

Posted 21-Mar-2018
Booked room, got confirmation email from Expedia, we went to hotel and lady in reception says she’s sorry but they don’t have room for us and unfortunately she can’t give us double room like we booked but offered single one.... First time something like that happened to me and my partner... I recommend to triple check if you wanna book this hotel as I don’t think it’s websites mistake

Awful, just awful

Posted 25-Feb-2018
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, but especially the windows - really needs triple glazing given the proximity to the main road.
Awful. Booked a “luxury” room, but this was at the front of the hotel right next to the main road. Old sash windows with no double glazing meant I could hear every single car that went along the road. Couldn’t sleep & had to ask to be downgraded to a “quieter” room at the side of the hotel - better, but still woken at 6am by the traffic. Car park also very tight for the number of rooms at the hotel - if the hotel had been full, I wouldn’t have found parking when I arrived at 8pm.

Clean and tidy hotel. Excellent value for money.

Clean and tidy. Excellent value for money. Service was slow for the evening meal. However, I was in no rush and the food more than made up for it. Planning on stopping there again when I’m in the area.

Charming hotel and excellent staff

Posted 20-Nov-2017
Charming hotel in walking distance to historic Cathedral. The staff is excellent and was so catering. Our housekeeping staff even provided two US/ UK outlet converters, which was convenient and saved me a few dollars during our stay. The reception and other staff were always friendly and helpful. They made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Adequate room - nothing more.

Posted 16-Nov-2017 on Hotels
Due to budget restrictions, and the lateness of my booking this was not really an option. Its not in a great part of Peterborough and the hotel seems to be less of a business hotel and more of a place for workmen to stay over. Staff were good, the room was OK, but this place is really tired, carpets very badly stained throughout and in need of a good dose of modernisation. If I was a lone female, the area and the room cleanliness / upkeep would be a bit intimidating. Perfectly adequate just more expensive and less quality than you'd expect from a Travelodge or Premier Inn. A bit disappointing overall and I'm not sure you get what you pay for. Side note, television very intermittent, could have been atmospherics but not a great experience with reception.

Nice stay and friendly stuff

No lift and no stuff to help around. It was a nice stay but not cost effective
