Pet-friendly Farmhouse, near hiking!

"Terrific piece of property. Massive, fenced yard for the pup. Awesome firepit area. Very large, older home with lots of character. I would get lost in it, with all the stairs, doors, and hidden rooms. The kitchen reminded me of something out of the Waltons. Ten people could easily be comfortable in this home. A 30 minute drive to Bellows Falls, which is a hidden gem. I appreciate how welcoming and accommodating the hosts were."
Amazing View: Townshend Escape Off the Beaten Path

"We live in NYC and spending a week at this house was fantastic. It's quiet, clean, well stocked, conveniently located, and the view is stunning. If we were at the house and awake we were most likely sitting on the deck looking at the mountains and trees and sky. We never contacted the host because everything we needed was there and working. We grilled, did laundry, etc etcThe area is full of things to do. We explored both the Townshend and the Ball Mountain Dams. Very cool both of them. West River Trail in Jamaica State Park is a must. And definitely West River Provisions for sandwiches after. Go see the cows at Taylor Farm and stop off at Grandma Miller's Pies on the way back. I'll miss all of it."
Spacious Riverfront Home 7 Minutes to Stratton!

"Love this property and it works so well for friends and family to drop in or stay overnight. Everyone has their own bedroom/bathroom. The fenced in yard is great for our dog and she loves exploring by the river. We spend most of our time in the sunroom or at the diningroom table doing puzzles, playing cards or board games."

"Wonderful place for relaxing and recharging. Great that the dogs are able to be with us. The whole set up is easy to work with. This was our second visit and it definitely will not be our last."
Wishing Well Cabin

"Our group of four adults stayed at the Wishing Well during a holiday weekend for a wedding. The cottage was incredibly clean, spacious, and well appointed. Nothing was overlooked. We appreciated the comfortable beds and enjoyed having coffee/tea on the deck each morning and chatting about our activities around the fire pit at night. The Wishing Well is within walking distance of a fantastic general store with delicious food and Jamaica State park. We enjoyed several walks and runs in the park. The hosts communicated well about procedures (ie check in and out) and quickly responded to a query via text. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly come back!"
