In the West Sussex countryside bordering Surrey, The Lakehouse rises over a pretty lake and meadows. Built in the style of a black timber-clad barn, this self-contained holiday apartment is laid out over the first floor above an art studio and offers elevated views of the gorgeous landscaped grounds shared with the main house. Also available for your use is the walled, heated swimming pool just a few metres away.
Accessed via external steps, The Lakehouse is a generously sized romantic retreat for a couple. The front door opens into the well-equipped kitchen, which in turns leads into an open plan sitting/dining room with Juliet balcony - open the French doors and enjoy the fabulous views. The sitting room leads through doors into the double bedroom.
Outside there is a brickwork terrace with table and chairs looking over the lake and grounds. In the sculpted walled garden close by the beautiful swimming pool calls, fringed with flowers and reclining chairs. This haven of relaxation is shared with the nearby owners, but some exclusive use may be possible – please enquire if interested. Please note the pool is open and heated 1st May to 30th September.
A short walk away you will find ‘The Mucky Duck Inn’, and several gastropubs are also within a short drive.
A charge of £25.00 per stay or per week, whichever is shorter, will be made for each dog (guide dogs for the blind and registered assistance dogs excepted). Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog with you. This property will accept a maximum one dog if it is sociable with other dogs (the owners’ dog may also be in the grounds which are shared).
