Lovely hotel, beautiful park behind it was lovely for walking in even though the weather was not good. Hotel is beautiful, the interior is stunning. Our room (we had a suite) was lovely. Food was good in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a casino next door and a water park next to that. Our only gripe was the pillows on the beds. You had one large and one small one each and they were way too soft.

Staff was mostly very helpful and friendly. Drinks at the bar were fantastic. The facility was clean, the rooms were very nice - a small little balcony and nice interior design. The rooms were mostly quiet, but i would recommend a lake side room if possible. The hotel sits right on a road so if you leave a window open there is definitely vehicle and train noise. Also sauna was only open 17-2300 which was a bit strange, especially in a cold weekend. Overall nice place.

Original booked room was very noisy with cars and train passing from early morning. When asked to change room had to pay for an upgrade. Sauna which is mentioned in amenities was open only from 17.00 which useless at any sence.

Rather impersonal hotel. Unable to get a simple coffee to take away. A little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Expensive for what it is I would say. We were not made to feel like customers.

I loved the fact that the hotel is right next to my favorite casino. It was the whole reason I booked it and I'm so happy I did. I needed a "me" night away from the kids and this was definitely the place to do it. The staff speaks English and it was super easy to check in and out. The restaurant was AMAZING and I'm so happy I treated myself to dinner and drinks there.

All was good but their beds...... You can not have a queen bed as is says on the web. And the 2 single beds for me is not "confort". You are not capable to select.

Always a treat!
Any time I am in Saarbrücken, I make it a point to stay at this hotel. Always great service, courteous from desk self, nice and clean comfortable rooms, ample parking, and walkable surroundings make for an enjoyable stay. Although the environment is quiet, The city centre is just five minutes away by car, and the French border is just as close down the road.

Always great being back
I always thoroughly enjoy spending a night at this location. The front desk staff is always very welcoming and rooms are always very clean. I did not really have anything to do there, but I just like to have at least one night to myself enjoying the surroundings. I usually do not include breakfast, but every now and then I do treat myself. My only thing is that the staff seems a bit aloof at times. This last time, I was seated for 25 minutes, had just had my last bite when I was asked whether I wanted anything to drink. In total, nine patrons, including myself. Can’t say this was overwhelming. Another server mindlessly took a man’s plate and cutlery away without asking his wife, sitting there, whether he was done. He was not. Those instances make the restaurant pale in comparison to the rest of the staff, who is great, including housekeeping, who always greet you with a smile. So, I would highly recommend the hotel, but I more often than not skip the culinary experience. Mind you, it’s a good breakfast, food-wise. But the little idiosyncrasies take the best out of the experience. During the holiday season, they have a nice set in both hotel and restaurant area.

Welcoming staff makes you feel they want you back
Returning over and over again. Not a central location, but the city centre is barely 5 minutes away from the city center of Saarbruecken, and just as close to the French border. There is also the French-German park right behind the hotel. Nice for long strolls when the days are good. As soon as you step into the hotel, you feel welcome. The staff is great, the rooms are well-appointed, the accommodations are clean. This was no exception. When it comes to hotel class, this one is it in the entire region, I believe. And free outside parking, which is always a perk, or parking garage. I am going to be back in the area around Christmas, and I may go back for a night away when visiting relatives there. But this is definitely a great place for family or couples. I suggest getting a room with a view of the park. Although it is a quiet area, during festivities, summer days or weekends, more likely to hear the noise from the people leaving the casino next door, besides the bright lights in the front of the hotel, which can be a bit disturbing at night. But the park view is well worth the extra bucks for various reasons. Just a nice experience. You feel welcome here.

Great place, good location
It is located about 3 km from the city center, if that’s where your interest lies, making transportation an issue. Otherwise it is a great place to stay the night—a well-maintained facility, comfortable beds, and a great buffet breakfast to boot. The principal staff are fluent in English, too—a definite plus for those whose skills in German or French are on the embarrassing side. Definitely a contender to consider.

2nd time I have stayed here; this time for some reason I had a very, very nice room with 4 poster bed and balcony. Some folks might think the view was subpar; but it was a VERY nice surprize and quite frankly helped me to relax. The previous night, and the following night, I stayed in other towns with other hotels and their beds were so bad I could barely move; this was NOT an issue with the Rezidenz. The only issues were a mixup with the wifi (I had a single option, but the reception thought I had 2; this charge was removed) and the bathroom could use a plumber visit to check some not-yet-an-issue things. I mentioned this to the reception, I imagine it will be handled already.

Nicest hotel around...
When in the area, I stay this site of the border whenever possible. In my opinion, the absolute best hotel in the entire city, which is also the capital of the smallest state in Germany. Front desk staff is always very courteous and professional, and the rooms are worse the st in my opinion, the absolute best hotel in the entire city, which is also the capital of the smallest state in Germany. City center is less than 5 minutes by car. Front desk staff is always very courteous and professional, and the rooms are worth the stay. And at a decent price! Free parking across the street is available. Breakfast is very good, and the location also offers dining options. Alternatively, you could walk to the supermarket about 10 minutes away. The hotel is located right next to the casino, and adjacent to a park, known as the "French/German garden". Great for families! From here, you are less than 2 miles from the France. Liquidations a very pleasant, very clean, and well-appointed. Can you recommend a room with the Garden view, as the street lights can be a bit disturbing with a street front. As always, I really have problems with the shutters. They cannot close completely. However, the curtains block out the light in the morning. I will need to ask somebody to show me how to make them work. Was a pleasure to be here, and I will be back.

Classy with great customer service folks.
Nice stay at what is probably the most upscale place in the city. Located on the outskirts, which makes for quiet time away from the bustle of the city center, it offers nice garden views, sauna, fitness facilities (albeit very limited), and the convenience of the motorway barely a minute away with easy access to the center in under 3 minutes by car. Walking would take you 20+ minutes. French border is about 5 minutes by car, ab out 1/2 hour or so walking. Supermarket right across the border. A casino is located right next to the hotel if you are in the gaming mood. Room was nicely furnished and large, but bathroom was on the smaller side, especially the shower. Room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback is that it was really warm, when I was there and there is no A/C. So, had window open. I would recommend getting a room with the garden view as the outside noise may be bothersome in the other rooms. At night, you also benefit from the darker space vs. the lights off the street. They have shutters, but mine were stuck, and I could not close them (open and close sideways from the outside). Breakfast was good / decent. Service was excellent at all levels. WiFi access was excellent. They offer two parking options: limited underground car park (charge) and free lot (across the street).

Great place to stay and relax !
First time in Saarbrucken and this hotel hit all the right spots ! Great location (quiet), great service and the food at the hotel was the best. Located on the outskirts of town next to a great park, it gave you the impression of being in the country while only a few minutes form downtown. Will definitely stay here the next time I am in this area.

Beutiful Hotel- old fashion
Very nice hotel - old fashion . The rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff very helpful. On a busy street, but you do not hear the traffic when uou are at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is top notch.
