Relax in the fresh air on the high-end lounge furniture arranged around the incredible, high-end gas fire table, or host a family cookout using the private gas grill. There's plenty of seating at the two outdoor picnic tables. The lower-level bedroom has a sliding glass door that opens to a secretive covered patio for even more comfortable outdoor space. The gorgeous three-story house features an open living area with a wall of windows and a vaulted ceiling that blends right into the upscale, eat-in kitchen. Prepare gourmet meals using the Viking Professional Series appliances, including a six-burner gas cooktop, true convection oven, and microwave. A walk-in pantry offers a perfect place for extra prep and presentation work with additional counter space and an extra sink. Your gracious homeowners provide both traditional and hard-to-find herbs and spices as well as kitchen staples and condiments. The unique glass-paneled ceiling above the kitchen table reveals vertical views of towering trees. Take the private staircase down to the lake so you can spend your days out on the water. The private dock is available for mooring your boat or sunbathing. As night falls, light the firepit for a fun evening filled with stories and laughter with your loved ones. THINGS TO KNOW This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.Streaming is available using your own accounts. National forest permits are required to access most nearby hiking areas. Fireworks are strictly prohibited, and violators will be fined. There is typically a burn ban from mid-June to mid-September, at which time guests may not use the firepit. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Dock details: The private dock is available for guest use and can accommodate boats up to 25 feet. The water depth at the dock ranges from zero to ten feet, depending on the season. No water equipment or ropes are available and guests must purchase boating permits in advance of their stay. Swimming off the dock is at your own risk. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). We wish the weather would have cooperated but the house more than made up for it. Some reviews describe the house as stocked, but it's so much more than that. It felt like people cared enough about our vacation that they kept all of the right things and labeled the drawers too just so you could find it easily. We enjoyed the hot tub and the movie area. We arrived in moody stormy weather and left in brilliant sunshine with mostly sunshine in between. We cooked a lot, enjoyed a movie night upstairs, hot tubbed, and enjoyed some other local attractions (Hama Hama Oyster Co., short trails at the Hoodsport park, brewery and winery in town). That said, you could post up here with the view and never want to leave! Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, not much to improve on here. We had a great stay at the Cushman Perch with our family of six! The house has a wonderful view of the lake and mountains for those who just want to stay home to read and relax. You might want to know that the deck is completely gated off, which would come in handy for dogs or toddlers. We enjoyed the two common spaces inside and the four bedrooms were spacious, which enabled us to spread out and have some privacy. For the adventurous ones, access to the lake is wonderful (lots of stairs, though!), and nearby hiking is top notch. Some in our group hiked to the top of Mt. Elinor and saw all of the volcanoes from Mt. Baker to the north to Mt. Hood in the south. We also used the nearby golf course and disc golf course. The grocery store is only 10 minutes away, as are restaurants. We had pizza at the Honeybee Pizzaria just north of Hoodsport and it was quite good. ##### Kerry M. We had the best time at this home for our Christmas vacation with family in town. The house was super clean and INCREDIBLY well stocked kitchen and entire house. Everything was absolutely perfect besides our late check out situation. BE AWARE- Vacasa only gives you a couple hours to be able to select that you would like a late check out (2pm instead of their normal 10am) and the notification is only sent by Email. If you don't happen to see this email during that small 2 hour window they will not make any exceptions and you will have to be out by 10 am. Other thing- not really an issue just an observation- Seems a bit odd that they cap the max amount of people at 8 since there are more beds than needed for 8 people and way more space.
