It's everything I thought and more. Rainbows off the back porch, bird and butterfly life, five minute drive to the falls and Ryan reserve, 10 minute drive to Waikiki and parks, an hour to the Banzai pipe line, a lot of Jurassic park scenes and plenty of shopping for my wife. Its been a great time in the Manoa valley house with 360 degree mountain views.
We had four adults and had plenty of space. The owners were very welcoming and explained all of the little quirky aspects of the house (how to work a shower and stove). The location was great for everything on the island. The back patio was our favorite place to hangout! Wonderful breeze and beautiful view of manoa. Highly recommend!
great space! good location. don’t go when it’s hot.
great space! good location. don’t go when it’s hot. doors slam a lot from the much-needed breeze. no ptsd or weak hearts recommended. good hosts!! would go back, esp at cooler time of year.
Couldn't stay at the property because we were not advised of no air conditioning ahead of time
There was no mention on the listing that this property didn't have air conditioning and my husband suffers with Asthma. We notified the owner that we couldn't stay in this house and would now have to find a place to stay. Waiting on resolution regarding a refund.

Could Find Better Locations
The space is Big and it has A LOT OF POTENTIAL. I will say the photographs make the space look a lot fancier and more updated than it really is. The AC does not work and the furniture needs major updating or at least cleaning. It could really be a potential amazing location, its near coffee shops and restaurants and theres beautiful mountains to look at from the back, but I don't think the renters care much. I guess I never cared much since our group was out of the house majority of the day anyway. But what really topped the cons was that our deposit was never returned. Instructions on cleaning, disposing of trash, etc. were followed. When I reached out about it I was given the excuse that they had no idea and and that they would handle it. Followed up couple weeks after and never got a response back nor the deposit. Its been months and I have yet to hear back.

Nice home, conveniently located
Nice home with kitchen and small lanai. Older beds but bathrooms are nice. Very conveniently located - close to local attractions but away from mayhem/traffic of Waikiki.

Lovely calm setting in Manoa with comfortable rooms and gorgeous view
Wonderful hosts very responsive with updated facilities cooled by the mountain breeze. Close to Waikiki and H1 for easy access to beaches and the rest of he island. Convenient to Safeway , Longs and good poke, pizza, local food, Manoa falls is 6 minutes away. Very quiet and peaceful, but enough room to accommodate my husband and I, daughter, and cousin and her husband comfortably. We cooked eggs for breakfast and Udon for lunch. Walking distance to excellent coffee and a French bakery. Wish I didn’t have to work so I could stay here for a month.

We love the place and vibe of the whole place
The house is very spacious. We appreciate the fact that the owners are very responsive should you need to ask something. Place is really nice and very cozy. Only one room has AC but who needs AC when windows of this house are everywhere. We love everything about this place and we really enjoy the community. Few steps away from starbucks, gasoline station is also nearby, safeway is just a few minutes away too. The only suggestion i would give is for the owners to consider switching the beds for all three rooms. Other than that we would have given it 5stars.

Great home for family
This was a fabulous second floor rental in Manoa Valley where the weather is a little cooler and breezier than in Waikiki. Even with the Honolulu traffic it was just a short drive from Waikiki and only about 5 minutes from the H-1 highway should you be trying to reach other parts of the island. There is a shopping center just a few minutes walk away. Recommend Morning Glass for your morning coffee and breakfast; there is also a Starbucks close by.
The house was clean which is always my number one priority. The lanai affords a nice view of the mountain on one side of the property and when you eat in the dining room you see the mountain on the other side--can't beat that.
Carlos and Sharleen are gracious hosts who responded to a our questions very quickly. Great place to rent rather than multiple rooms in a Waikiki hotel.

Excellent value in Manoa Valley area, easy access to University of Hawaii
This is a property that is very good value, and run by hosts that are very responsive and truly wish you a good stay. There is a lot of room with three bedrooms and two baths, and a pleasant Lanai in the rear of the house that overlooks the Ridgeline. The hosts, Sharleen and Carlos, are very respectful of their guests privacy, but are available right away should there be need as they live on the first floor of the house.
The price of this home is a deal, taking into account that the property is on a somewhat busy road. The sound did not bother us overmuch but you will be aware of it during the day. The kitchen is stocked for basic cooking (Sharleen quickly supplied a rice cooker when requested)
A shopping center with plenty of restaurants, a Safeway, a Starbucks, and a lovely French bakery are all within easy walking distance. There is a farmers market at the shopping center three days a week with excellent produce.
An in-unit laundry would have made this a five star review, but it's easy enough to use the laundromat which is also within walking distance. The owners did say that their personal laundry was available if we wished to use it, though. If you stay here, you will definitely be treated as honored guests!!!
