Staff were very helpful and efficient. The room was large with all features you could every want including a laundry cupboard where you put your clothes and they arrive back there on rail.. the view from the window of the Bund is incredible better than Hong Kong. The buildings have LED lights and the charter boats have led you can lay in bed a view this amazing scene.
Whilst a bit off the main route easy access to everywhere from Shanghais fantastic subway.
Did not eat at the hotel, so can't comment but the rooms were well appointed and the staff provided great service
Booked this hotel on a business trip. Room size was very pleasing. The higher you get a room the better. Perfect for a short stay in town where you want to combine relaxed atmosphere and closeness to the vibrating city.
The location, close to the Bund is great, it's possible to walk to quite a few of Shanghai's attractions; the hotel however is a puzzle. Our room was great, spacious, clean and well equipped. The breakfast room was beautiful and really gives you an idea of what this hotel would have been like in it's hay day. The bar and "shop" were of another world, they seemed to have been last updated in the 70's and then quite badly! It didn't much affect the stay but just seems a shame for such a historic and beautiful place. It seems uncared for.
I was there for 8 days. The room service was very good and the staff was always available when I asked for help or services. Due to the fact that my flight was late in the afternoon, and I was allowed to check out late for two hours without paying extra money.
Hotel thru Expedia was excellent. Will need to take cabs as a twenty minute walk to either the #8 or #10 subway line. Hotel staff is very accommodating but few speak English. Room was spotless and overall a great value. Perfect for traveler on a budget.
