"I booked the Polihotel at the last minute for my business trip to LA. It is during FIFA, but still at a very affordable price and a VERY convenient location. The hotel is very cute, very artsy with the decor, and convenient with a bar and a cafe in the lobby. I absolutely will come back! However, one thing to notice is that there is a sink right next to the bed in the bedroom (at least in my room - a King-size bedroom) and sometimes it smells... But I brought a room spray with me so it didn't bother me that much."

"Stayed in cabana suite, *note that they are on both 1st and second floors. 1st has day bed on balcony and a 4ft path to pool, and 2nd has small table and two chairs on balcony. We were assuming we would have pool access from the room but no. My main frustration was when a friend brought a nice bottle of wine and we called to have some wine glasses brought to the room at 2:30 pm, called again at 4:00, and again and 6:00pm, and finally again at 7:30pm when they finally brought them but the bottle was already gone after drinking from flimsy plastic cups since the friend did not have 6 hrs to wait for our toast. Each time housekeeping/front desk/room service said they were “bringing them immediately.” Having to improvise as there were ZERO cups or glasses or plates or dishes anywhere in the suite that happens to flaunt a full bar set up is wild. We assumed they had forgotten to set them up? But calling four times and waiting 5 hours for something so simple at $800/night is just not the standard I would expect. Outlets did not work in (gorgeous) bathroom so expect to dry hair in the aformentioned bar. Pool is 10/10. Staff at pool, temp of water, availability of towels and upkeep of area are excellent. Come for the pool, maybe don’t splurge on the room :/"
