The yard and porch were well kept and set up for comfort and leisure. The inside is full of fun historical knick knacks and art; as though someone had opened up a little time capsule and displayed its contents! The host is kind and professional. I felt very comfortable coming and going. While I did not get the chance to do the scavenger hunt or the tour, it really was so comforting to know that the host cared about whether or not I enjoyed my stay. One of my favorite features of this property was the curtain style. Both bedrooms had light blocking curtains that helped keep the room dim and I was able to relax and sleep in! Noisy landlord upstairs. Ever see the Nick Saban VRBO commercial? "Check in is at 3pm." "It's 2:55." "Yeah. Check in us at 3pm". Roaches run across the kitchen at night, keep in mind there is no door from kitchen to 1st bedroom. ##### Steve M. I did tour the house with the host (Joe - who lives upstairs) and its pretty cool. Joe mentioned a scavenger hunt, but we didn't partake. It's apparent that Joe loves history, and it shows as you walk around the house. A few things to note - the private road to the house is somewhat narrow. My F150 fit okay, but if you have a bigger or longer truck be careful. Also, the host asked that we keep the AC set above 75 as it's tied into the upstairs and can get chilly up there.
