Walking distance to the heart of Richmond

Posted 18-Jul-2016 on Wotif
Pros: The ambience, and the amenities. Being on the road, it was nice to have a washing machine and a fully functioning shower.
Cons: Nil, the gardens are currently being refurbished to make way for a barbecue and outdoor sitting area
Location: There's loads to do close by, Zoodoo Wildlife Park, half HR to Hobart, 2hrs to Port Arthur and Tas devil unzoo. Antiques, history at your fingertips.
A fantastic little B and B, full of history. On arrival we were warmly welcomed, personally shown to our room, and offered a glass of Complimentry wine.

All the Comforts of home

Posted 27-Feb-2016 on Wotif
Pros: It was like being at home, rather than in a stuffy motel room. Windows you could open, garden to walk through. wonderful place
Cons: couldn't find a fault.
Location: Richmond is an historic town with many things to see and all walking distance from this B&B. The local Pub provides a great meal.
We picked Mulberry B&B on the advice of a couple we met at another B&B not even realising the unique history of the place. The Room was fantastic. Set detached from the main house. We had a Lounge Room, Small Kitchen with Dining area, Bedroom, Spare bedroom and the bathroom / laundry area combined. Miriam was a great host, gave us a glass of wine on arrival, ideas on where to eat and what to do not at all intrusive. We did not have breakfast (didn't realise it was an extra or see the option when we book) but fruit and muesli bars were available which was sufficient in the morning. The views from the dining/lounge were great as was the garden.

We stayed in the French Boudoir room, very romantic with a cheeky mirror. Close to all restaurants and shops.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am glad you enjoyed the accommodation. The antique type tins have been removed this week anyway and all tea and coffee is now in glass jars.

Pros: Walking distance to the historic main street of Richmond and had an amazing meal at the Hotel.
Cons: Do not change a thing.
Location: 15 minute car drive from Hobart and close proximity to Port Arthur. We visited the Historic Richmond Goal while we were there, which was a 10 min walk
What a find! A peaceful scenic cottage we stayed in which was clean had all and more than was expected for the weary traveller. Truly a place to stay if you really need to just get away and chill from the hustle and bustle.
