I have stayed in Ascott and Somerset serviced apartments in several countries, even Vietnam. Fresh from the fond memories of Somerset Chancellor Court in HCMC, my wife and I was looking forward to our stay at the new Somerset D1Mension.
First the accolades, the apartment is fully furnished and it was really a home away from home. The infinity salted pool on the 16th floor is a "MUST-VISIT"!
The service level of the staff was somewhat lacking although the guest-relation officer tried to fulfill our requests.
Firstly, do not discriminate Vietnamese from foreigners because I'm a foreigner and my wife is a Vietnamese. I arrived at the property first and she came in later from running her errands. The security staff at the carpark and the reception appeared to doubt her right of presence there and that made her feel very uncomfortable.
We had a vehicle parked in the property and Expedia stated parking was free during our tenure. However, we confirmed with the staffs at the reception and they had sent an email informing the security staffs in the underground parking lot. Yet, we experienced lots of suspicious looks whenever we left and arrived to the carpark and we had to explain we were residents there. I suggest the management should issue a free-parking card to residents so we can flash it to the security staffs.
It would alter our experiences if all these issues were ironed out. Thanks.
