I loved the privacy and onsen. The taxi driver wasn’t familiar with the name and drove and left me at the wrong place After many inquiries and changing directions and after carrying luggage for 30 minutes I finally arrived and waited to get a relaxing moment which was very needed.

The staff was very, very friendly. The breakfast was awesome. They covered all of the food items, so they took extra efforts to protect the customers from covid exposure. The hot spring bath was very nice. They had free ice cream after bath. Laundry wash machines were free and dryers were just ¥100 for 20 minutes. At night, there was free ramen from 9:30-11:00pm. This hotel was in a great location and there was food everywhere nearby.

Great place for a short stay in Kurashiki
I loved everything about the place (location, free ramen past 9:30pm, amazing breakfast, the onsen) aside from the comfort of the pillows. Too hard for my liking, but the good parts of the hotel much outweighed that one negative as I only stayed here one night!

The location is great, within walking distance both from JR station and the beautiful old town. I love this hotel’s public bath, as well. However, when I went to bed, I moved the comforter then I saw some hairs on the sheet. I was too tired that night so I didn’t bother calling the front desk. That was the only negative side of my stay. Other than that, everything was fine and I would stay at this hotel if I go to Kurashiki again.

We enjoyed the onsen experience very much. We also like staying in this city, slightly off the beaten path but very close to Okayama. The hotel is steps from the old quarter of kurashiki.

The Kurashiki Dormy Inn was an easy walk from the Kurashiki Rail Station. It was also just steps away from the Ohashi Merchant Home and the restored warehouse/canal district and Ohara Art Museum. I love the Dormy Inns and appreciate the Japanese baths, especially the ones that are open air.

I will be back!
Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are tidy and neat. Loved that they have complimentary coffees and ramens! Convenient location. Onsen got a bit crowded but otherwise perfect! Definitely will come back again!
