Perched above the Valleys of Copake and Hillsdale, at the end of a small, private road, the 1830's original farmhouse is brimming with functional updates and unique modern design elements. The expansive, stone lined gardens run along the property, highlighting amenities such as a swimming pond, sauna, outdoor shower, patio fire pit, tree-house, private trails, and a free standing artist/writers studio.

The 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home maintains its historic charm with original beams, hardwood floors, and stone masonry, while tasteful improvements have been made throughout; renovated bathrooms, raised ceilings, top of the line appliances, slate countertops, wine fridge, added playroom and mudroom.

A 900 square foot family room was also added with floor to ceiling windows, sliding glass doors, radiant floor heating, hand made tiles, pizza oven and fireplace, and custom sound system.Set back in the privacy of the property's wooded area, sits a modern artist's studio with 360 degree views of the valley and forest. The building is filled with light and warmed by two fireplaces through the colder months.

The 3 plus surrounding acres are a haven for birds, including a visiting great blue heron. The yard has an open field for play and a driveway lined with peach, pear, and apple trees.

Trails from the home lead into the Rheinstrom Audubon nature preserve with 100's of acres of land for enjoyment. The Hamlet of Hillsdale is a 20 minute bike ride on the Rail Trail, also accessed easily from the property. Enjoy the Brewery, galleries, Farmer's Market and more! Hudson, Copake, Catamount Mountain, Millerton, and the Berkshires are all a short drive away!

Absolutely impeccable stay!Check-in was super easy, and the kitchen was fully stocked and a breeze to use. Every room was absolutely beautiful, and the entire property was stunning.Our host, Danielle, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout.We stayed here for a bachelorette with 8 girls, and everyone was more than comfortable—we had plenty of space and everything we needed.Highly, highly recommend.
