A real dog-friendly hotel. Great rooms overlooking the cricket ground with easy access for the dogs. Good food, very pleasant staff and in a lovely location.

One night stay
Its our 2nd time staying here and both times have been exceptional. Our rooms have been large and the views were fantastic. The breakfast is beautiful as well. Would recommend this hotel highly.

Food excellent and staff extremely good. Think staff stretched by staff absence but attention to gust remained very good. Some areas need touch up and refurbishment (pool in particular).

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Minor irritation over broken toilet roll holder and coat hook not replaced in my room, and no towel rail in my son's. A group of fellow sailors and their partners who joined us for the evening meal raved about the food, but my son and I were disappointed at the restricted choice of vegetarian options. The service was fantastically fast and friendly both in the evening and at breakfast.

Hello, Our stay at the Riverdale Hall Hotel was outstanding, the staff are friendly and very helpfull, the room was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. Overall a very nice easy experience. would I stay there again? Yes Yes.

Lovely place
Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and very clean. Comfortable bed. Only staying for one night and had to leave early, so didn't utilise the facilities at the hotel. The price of my stay was very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.

Dog and person friendly
I have stayed at this hotel before and it is reliable and good quality. Chose it this time because it is dog friendly for my recently acquired pup. Staff helpful. Ate in the bar with dog and it was fine; water bowls dotted around , could do with more specific dog waste bins

The property is about 5 miles from Hexham. It is in a small village with views across the countryside. My bedroom-room 5-was initially very warm, but I managed to open one window and cool the room down. There is no air con. There are plenty of radiators for winter warmth, when the time comes. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower and was very well decorated. The restaurant served a diverse menu, and appeared to be someone locals come to eat, which is always a good sign. The Jaffa Cake Cheesecake was to die for!

Pleasant weekend break
Fabulous peaceful location overlooking the River North Tyne. Great food in the restaurant and very reasonably priced. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff, good COVID-19 measures in place. Decor a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.

Check your booking in advance
Lovely hotel and restaurant, friendly staff. However, someone at the hotel got the booking date incorrect and had us booked in the following month. If it wasn’t for COVID and the hotel holding back a few rooms so they weren’t at full capacity, we would have been turned away and had to look for a new hotel, through no fault our own. We didn’t get the room we wanted but were happy to have one.

Kielder Marathon weekend
Great place for a peaceful stop and before and after a marathon. Staff, pool and room food were very good. Wi-Fi was at times a little temperamental.

Good Hotel
Friendly staff await you. This hotel has them in abundance. The food is excellent and the location is great for touring. Maybe a little overpriced because it is not Five Star but nevertheless, a pleasant experience

Relaxing weekend away in great surroundings
Had an enjoyable weekend break at the Riverdale Hall Hotel. Did not try the restaurant but did have a delicious bar meal and was impressed with a couple of the real ales they had on offer. Had a good night sleep in a spacious bedroom which had views over the surrounding fields. The hotel is short walk from Bellingham with its shops cafes and pubs. There a few areas of the hotel which are looking a little dated but this did not distract from a pleasant stay.

Prettig hotel met een prima sfeer. Goede bar waar je ook nog eens goed(koop) kunt eten. Toen ik er was was het personeel erg vriendelijk en de service snel en correct. Bij gelegenheid staat dit hotel beslist weer op de agenda!
