Easy and clean

Posted 25-Apr-2017
We stayed when we visited the Harry Potter studios. There is a carpark nearby. A shuttle bus runs every 15mins to the studios. Our room was ready early and was lovely and clean. Breakfast was fab!

Holiday inn watford junction

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: Clean. Handy for trains. Tea and coffee in room.
Cons: Bigger area for breakfast food,
Location: Right next to station so .ca get into London with ease. Loads of really decent places to eat in watford.
Trainee staff couldn't find my booking at arrival which was worrying. Sorted after 5 mins. Room fine. Breakfast was self service and there were too many people for the space where food was and too long in queue. Small car park but got a space.

cared about the look but not the basics

Posted 20-Mar-2017 on Hotels
Over all I would say very poor, the bathroom was lovely and very modern however the shower had a leaked. Once again the bedroom was modern with all the facilities that you need; tv, tea station sofa and more however the bed was uncomfortable which meant I got two hours sleep maximum and the air con was locked as the lowest at 20 Celsius which meant we had the option of being boiling or listening to the main road outside with the window open. Finally to finish was the breakfast; if you don't want a variety of hot foods this is the place for you. The hot section was grey looking scrambled eggs, sausages, beans and toast.

Very well located hotel

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: Hotel Staff service and support.
Cons: Second bed (sofa). Was not that great.
Location: Great location, walkable distance from train station. At least one pub around, the bus stop for the shuttle to Harry Potter WB studio tour is very nea
Very close to Watford Junction station. Hotel Staff was awesome, always willing to serve. The sofa I used as the second bed was not that comfortable but we made it. I would be there again if needed. Absolutely.

Hotel great. Gluten free breakfast awful!

Posted 09-Mar-2017 on Hotels
Room and hotel/location great. Not so great on the free breakfast if you are Gluten free! Selected 'other' on the booking form and stated that I needed a Gluten free option when I booked the room. Had to wait in the dining area to speak to a member of staff about my breakfast on coming down. Not sure she understood straight away; language barrier. When I did get my "Gluten free option" it consisted of 7 slices of smoked bacon and 4 rounds of Gluten free bread. Not what I was expecting. No information available on whether the baked beans or cereals available had any wheat/gluten in them. Did not want to risk trying them. Ended up eating the bacon and toasted the bread. Found a yogurt as well. Goodness knows what you would do if you are Gluten free and a vegetarian/vegan! My recommendation. TAKE YOUR OWN STUFF! Would have given 5 stars if they had thought this option out better.
