We picked this hotel because of the close location to Warner Bros being only 12 minutes up the road. Hotel reception staff greeted warmly on arrival and were very efficient on arrival and helped with enquiries throughout our stay. Room was clean on suited our needs during our 2 night stay, but we were confused why only one chair provided in double room. Hotel is very close to m1 but the only noise we heard at night were other guests. Breakfast was very good with wide variety of food available. On the 1st evening we dined at the Chinese restaurant which was 5 minute walk up road and the meal and atmosphere was good. 2nd evening we decided to dine in restaurant, which happened to be a curry buffet, however could not tell you how this tasted as looked terrible so decided to eat off menu instead. The choice on the menu was small, very expensive and unappetising so decided to eat at Toby carvery around the corner which was ok as we were not that hungry. The only downside was the bar lounge area. Although comfortable, the staff seemed disorganised. Plenty of staff floating around being directed by who I think was the restaurant bar manager, but they all seemed to be on edge and moving but not really doing much. If you wanted a drink you always had to go to bar and waited quite some time to get served, and then they always put service charge on your bill, which I thought was very cheeky considering there was no service and this was poor.
