Good location with easy access to bus

Posted 22-May-2017
Hotel room was nice with king size bed. No AC but can provided. Had a gym which was a plus for me. Room was clean but not sure why I had to keep reminding staff to clean my room and it was already after 2pm. Maybe they were busy. Staff helpful especially kitchen staff. Great assortment for breakfast.

IF ONLY things look like they do in the Pictures

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: the breakfast was good
Cons: refit off all the rooms like the one i was in
Location: London is only a short train away
We had High Expectations for this as we looked at the Pictures of the hotel and was very happy to pay more to get what we thought would be nicer. What a let down !!! As we approached the room the smell of DAMP hit us both at the same time. as we entered the room we saw that this is not like the pictures but a tired looking room maybe its the room they have available when the rest of the rooms are full but i wish i had not payed more for this dirty Dirty old room with a shower that was more of a drizzle than a shower.

Nice spacious hotel and room was spacious too.

Posted 28-Apr-2017
Pros: Friendliness, cleanliness and spacious.
Cons: 4 bar items on menu that I tried to order were not available. Also waited 2 hours for my food in room to arrive but this was removed from bill.
Location: N/A as on business
Room fine, hotel staff were lovely and friendly. Man in bar who helped get my drink was exceptional. He was greeting people as they come in and showing them to a seat and then getting drinks for them.

Okay for a stop over.

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: The comfortable bed, nice bathroom and big television!
Cons: The entrance and the exit were not clearly marked plus not easily accessible. Other patrons were unloading their cars blocking the route through.
Location: Busy location. Toby Carvery is next door and McDonalds is down the road a bit. Stayed there for one night for a Hen Do elsewhere.
Not the best but certainly not the worst I've stayed in. Going back in June for a Wedding.

Harry Potter visit

Posted 06-Apr-2017
Close to where we needed to be. Booked Hilton as they have a name for being special and high standard/class. Pretty much a premier Inn but with a slightly scruffy looking building. Nothing special. Was disappointed at how basic is was. Especially looking out of the window to see a skip full of anything and everything. Very disappointed I spent good money on something I could have got for half the price up the road but with the same standard of cleanliness and size.

Affordable, comfy and fantastic breakfast!

Lovely stay and amazing for the price paid. Our reason for visiting was the Harry Potter studios. Very convenient and only 10mins away. The location was good. Toby Carvery could be seen from our room and we also passed an Asda and Sainsbury. Twin room was great, spacious and everything we needed. The bathroom could have done with an update but again, for the price paid it was fine for one night. We ate in the restaurant which was a fixed price 2/3 course menu which seemed reasonable for a hotel but £9.50 for a glass of wine is abit extortionate. Our sleep was good, nice and dark and quiet considering it was a saturday night. Breakfast was definately the highlight. It had many choices and there was lots of it. I had to try the waffle and pancake station as I have never come across this option in any hotel so that was a great idea and good for children. Check in and checkout were easy and quick and we were always greeted with smiles from the staff. Would definately return.
