Staff incredible!! Comfy rooms!!

Posted 17-Jul-2016
What a wonderful hotel!! Checking in was so smooth, with the staff being so so nice to us. We entered our room and was met by a lovely swan love heart on the bed. The room was a bit old fashioned but it has everything you need. Breakfast was good, catered for everyone's needs. Throughout the staff were amazing!!!

Nice, friendly hotel close to town

Posted 12-Jun-2016
Whilst the hotel needs updating, the staff are excellent and will cater to all your queries. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable and it is a short walk to the high street, overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Dicht bij een leuke drukke winkelstraat en treinstation dat je gemakkelijk naar het centrum van Londen brengt.

Close to town and spacious

Access to the car park needs better sign posting as it is round the back and hard to spot, luckily the staff were helpful and directed us. Overall had a great stay! Would recommend!

Basic outdated hotel

Posted 18-Apr-2016
We were looking for a no frills hotel that did not cost the earth! We were visiting the Warner brothers tour which is located only 11 minutes from this hotel! Together with the low price it seemed an ideal hotel! We weren't expecting 5* accommodation so we're not disappointed Upon our arrival The reception staff were very friendly and helpful! The reception area is clean and inviting with a bar and plenty of seating The halls towards the bedrooms are very dark but I presume this is down to the decor as the walls are wood clad The room is basic but clean Overall a pleasant night stay close to where we needed

The staff at the hotel were very rude.

The hotel is outdated and the staff are very rude especially the hotel manager, they overpriced us on the room and we had missing money from our hotel room.

This hotel has improved so much....

Posted 19-Feb-2016
Pros: It was ground floor next to the car park, but it was quiet. Staff been there a long time, very good service. breakfast for 7 pounds great value.
Cons: Nothing on this occasion.
Location: Its in Watford town centre.
Could'nt fault it on this occasion, we even now have mustard for breakfast sausage without asking!

Nice Business trip

Posted 08-Feb-2016 on Hotels
I was on a business training course, long days that meant I missed the breakfast hours. The staff were very friendly and sorted out an out of hours continental breakfast for me. The hotel was clean, comfortable, nice food with great staff. The car parking availability is poor for the size of the hotel, but that is common in that area of Watford. The hotel does also look a little worn and dated but for comfort and helpful staff the bigger chains could take a lesson or two. I would use this hotel again if staying around the area.

made very welcome

Posted 07-Feb-2016
Pros: warm and friendly, comfortable rooms and a nice little bar too!
Cons: I cannot think of anything that would improve this well run hotel.
Location: football stadium very close by, a host of different restaurants, a market too.
had a two night stay and found the staff very welcoming, and most helpful. the breakfasts were outstanding, with plenty to eat and drink. a very pleasant experience all round. a big "THANKYOU" to all the staff.
