Didn't look quite as nice as the pic made out i felt. Could do with clear direction last to parking as called from outside the hotel to find out and was asked to park ok double yellow lines to come and find out. Parking, as it happens is just down a wall behind the hotel in the grounds of a car rental place. Room looked ok, may have needed a little work on the bathroom to remove mould etc. Floor boards are very noisy and walls seem paper thin as was kept up by some noisy people over the corridor. I asked a staff member to remind me if breakfast was included, I was advised it would be an additional charge, when I later checked it was included which I was a bit miffed about as she even looked on my room booking. Or so she made out. As it happens there was someone else on the computer later when I checked out so had no issues. Beds are not as good as prem in. No particular issue other than it felt/sounded like I was on a sheet to prevent me wetting the bed. I don't think I would rush back, but if u need a 1 nighter, it will do. Can't comment on food other than breakfast was reasonably good.

Watford and its one-way system

Posted 03-Sep-2016
Pros: Convenient for motorway, although easily to get lost around the one-way system. Nice restaurant with smiling staff
Cons: Room on warm side, facing the afternoon sun, thus had to have fan on which through the night sounds noisy.
Location: The town centre with shops/pubs etc only a short walk away.
A pleasant stay with REALLY HELPFUL STAFF Car parking can be difficult. Do not hang around in main street as traffic wardens pop up

Pros: The friendliness
Cons: Air conditioning. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the heat in the room!
Location: Watford is a very lovely place.
The staff couldn't do enough to help you. My husband is disabled and there was no room in the car park, but the manager (forgot his name) manuevered us into a space out the front.

fab hotel! -cheap, clean, comfy!

The hotel staff offer such a warm welcome, which is a great start! The room was spotlessly clean and rather large! The facilities were all there and up to a satisfactory standard! Breakfast was also very good and again the staff were kind and welcoming! The location is good, easy to find and very central!

Very noisy position on Main Street in Watford. Clean but shabby - hotel definitely in need of an upgrade. Didn't eat in - the dining looked unappealing. However as we only wanted a base for a couple of days in London it served its purpose. No photos.

OK Budget Stay

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Pros: Price.
Cons: Air-conditioning.
Location: Close to the city centre about 20mins walk from the train station.
The hotel was OK, bathroom a bit dated with a peach coloured suite but it was clean & large & functional. Room was also large but the location of the hotel near to the city centre can result in noise from outside if you leave the window open. No aircon but there was a desk fan. I have to sleep cold so if the day & night were any hotter I would have had problems sleeping. I would stay here again as price wise it provided good value for money. The desk staff were friendly.

Good location for Watford town centre

Posted 01-Aug-2016
This hotel is a little dated and needs a refurbishment. The rooms are OK. Tea and coffee making facilities, freeview TV, fan and a decent over bath shower. My room was quite noisy as it backed onto a car wash yard and van rental company. That said the staff are very friendly. The hotel is just a five minute walk from Watford shops and bars which is the reason I chose this hotel. There is limited parking so get there early to secure a parking space. I had difficulty getting back into my room due to electronic key card issue. It was fairly quickly resolved and I was offered a very tasty complimentary cooked breakfast the next morning for my troubles. So stay here for the friendly staff and great location but it's not posh and needs a refurbishment!

Staff incredible!! Comfy rooms!!

What a wonderful hotel!! Checking in was so smooth, with the staff being so so nice to us. We entered our room and was met by a lovely swan love heart on the bed. The room was a bit old fashioned but it has everything you need. Breakfast was good, catered for everyone's needs. Throughout the staff were amazing!!!
