Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We appreciate the 4/5 even though you encountered many issues during your stay. The entire area was affected by Direct TV's outage; frustrating, for sure. There would never be a good time for closing the pool area for renovations, but we've tried to get it done before the busy summer - again, unfortunate time for your stay. And, finally, the driveway into the parking lot - definitely a project we are waiting to address once the weather changes. We are sorry for the inconveniences that you faced and hope that next time you are in the area we will make a 5/5 impression on you!

We booked the hotel for a cheer competition all weekend. I went out of my way to find a hotel with a large pool and hotub to enjoy the weekend with kids. When we arrived they informed us the pool was closed all weekend. Our room had a tub so I let the kids fill it up and play in it to pass some time. I had to scrub it clean, there was gross hair everywhere. When it came time to go to bed, the people upstairs were jumping on floors and beds until 11 PM. We called to the front desk 3 times for them to get it taken care of. We booked for 2 nights and ended up just staying one night and going home early, it wasnt worth spending another day and night there.

Thank you for leaving your feedback regarding your stay with us. I'm sorry that the hotel was not quiet - we did indeed have a group of cheerleaders here that had a tough time settling down. Expedia does NOT show that we have an operable pool at this time, and you did receive a prearrival email stating the fact that it was and would be closed during the time of your visit, as well as during the check in process. It's a shame that you didn't reach out prior to arrival indicating your concern

Excellent and super clean!
Check in/check out was quick and easy. Room was immaculate. It was so clean. Great job housekeeping.! Breakfast was hot, well stocked and breakfast area was super clean as well. Breakfast lady was nice and we enjoyed talking with her. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Great stay!
We had a great time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was so wonderful that there’s oatmilk for my coffee and gluten free muffin to accommodate my allergies. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay for the weekend.
The front desk staff was great and helped me book an early check in. The entire hotel was clean. My room had everything I needed for my weekend visit and the hotel is close to anywhere you’d want to go in Slippery Rock.

I'm confused as to how you can state that "staff refused to acknowledge it," as I listened to your concern, I empathized with your situation, I explained the actions that would be taken to look into the issue, I asked questions to try to understand what could have happened, and I documented the situation by opening a case with Marriott. I also wished you a good rest of the day and thanked you for letting me know what had happened. I don't understand how I wasn't polite or professional, and I certainly did acknowledge what had happened, Karen, as I take all feedback very seriously. Charged an unnecessary fee for cleaning for gummies on the floor an apparent stain. We take care of our hotel room and travel often. Weve never been treated like this.

While we appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration for the charge, the fee was due to multiple stains on linens and carpet as well as excessive trash strewn all over room. Pictures were taken. Our housekeepers work hard enough as it is, they shouldn't have to deal with this. We stand behind the charge, and we stand behind our staff.

This Hotel was located next to a cemetery on the outside of town. Not very much within walking distance but the town is small and quiet. Easy drive to restaurants nearby.

We had a great stay. Spent some time on the back patio area and all the potted bushes were dead. Just get rid of them. Also, a couple of gas fire pits in the back would make it so much nicer. Breakfast was great. Employees were super nice.

I always like to leave positive reviews after staying places. I really can’t say how great this place is because I didn’t enjoy much of the stay. It was a rather warm day when we arrived in the afternoon. Entering the room we could tell just how hot the room (and the whole 2nd floor really) was. No AC was on before we got there and turned it on ourselves. It took quite awhile to cool down to a comfortable temperature. With the higher price than comparable hotels I would think some modern amenities would be included. It’s rare that you find a hotel that doesn’t have any usb ports to charge your stuff, and this one had none. I had to leave and go buy a wall charger. We had to book a suite which had a pull out bed in the couch. I’m pretty sure prisoners get a better mattress than that one. It’s about 2” thick and made out of cheap material. I could feel every spring and every bar of the couch. It’s the most uncomfortable “bed” I’ve ever slept in. The next night we inquired about another option since the pull out was so bad. They gave us a fold up bed and brought it to the room. Of course they charged us $10 for that. Kind of crazy after spending $400 for 2 nights. The pool room was so hot I couldn’t stand to be in there for more than 5 minutes with my son. It had to be 100 degrees. Staff was nice, safe location, convenient. I just won’t stay here again or I will second guess any Marriot hotel.

Adam, I'm terribly sorry that you had a bad experience while staying in Slippery Rock. I wish that you would have mentioned the concern about the USB ports to the front desk during your stay - we would have told you where to look for the USB ports (which are located in multiple places in each guest room.) As for the cost of the room, you booked through a 3rd party; in doing so, you chose to pay their cost for the room. The pull-out sofa is the one that Marriott has required us to have in the rooms. I'm sorry that you felt it was not comfortable. I am unable to compare it to a prison bed, but I can assure you that we receive multiple compliments on how comfortable they are, so I was surprised to hear that you thought differently. I have asked maintenance to look into the condition of the one that is in the room that you stayed in. I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback, and again, I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay.
