Myself and 3 friends stayed in a room for 4, beds really comfortable only downside was a very steep staircase to top that twisted would be no good for mobility problems but added character to this old beautiful coaching house, breakfast lots of choice and superb free parking, we would definately stay again
Location good. Staff all good.
Maybe find another smoking area for staff.
Improve hot breakfast. Better quality beans, eggs, salmon would help and/or more croissant choice.
Thank you.

From our arrival, the staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond, making our one night stay wonderful.
We had pre-booked dinner which was superb and the size of our family room was a surprise as it had a separate room for our children.
The staff really fussed over our children as well as a little dog and there were even dog biscuits on our breakfast table in the morning.
Had an amazing stay. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nicely decorated.
Restaurant meal was really good and the breakfast was good quality.
Will definitely be returning!
we chose the hotel because it had free parking and EV charging. Both are true but the VB charge point was cordoned off and wasn’t available.. it was apparently reserved but this was 8.30pm at night and we hadn’t been given an option of reserving. a quick charge was all we wanted …

Thank you for your comments. Our free car park is unmanned and works on a first come basis. There is an inexpensive council car park, behind ours.We rely on the courtesy of other guests, not to park in the two EV bays, if not driving an EV, or charging. If requested in advance, we can endeavour to cordon a space by the EV chargers for you. We recommend guests download the EO network charging app, prior to arrival.
The hotel being so old is definitely quirky but the breakfast was great, the evening meal we had delicious, the choice of drinks in the bar excellent and the staff just so very friendly.
The location great for both the town and the river and walks.
Will definitely go back
Very friendly staff, good sized room, great breakfast and restaurant, on-site parking available. I can recommend this hotel and would readily stay there again.
Small, friendly and welcoming hotel in the middle of Ross.
We stayed on a Saturday and the hotel was busy but there were plenty of friendly and helpful staff so no waiting around. Cosy reception rooms and bar with a great atmosphere. My one minor gripe was our small, dark bedroom with a window looking at a neighbouring wall but it was newly decorated and comfortable - so gripe outweighed by the rest of the well-run and cosy hotel.

Good position, good restaurant , bedrooom not so good but good bathroom.
Perfect location right in the heart of town. High streets completely walkable and plenty of shops. Good choice of places to eat. Hearty breakfast included
Couldn’t fault a single thing.
Checkin, rooms, breakfast, evening meal, staff were all excellent.
Special mention to Magda who made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond. She is an absolute credit to the hotel !
Service from staff could be better, breakfast orders were regularly delayed, items forgotten and one day the toast was completely burnt but the scrambled eggs had been placed over the burnt food to hide it and still served to me. Very long wait to check out - the people in front of me were not happy as their room had been given to someone else - and when I was finally served I was told that I hadn’t paid for my stay and owed over £400. I had to find my booking email to prove that I had already paid. Staff member couldn’t explain why hotel account didn’t reflect my payment.
Quirky hotel and very intersting. Love the bar and the library. True the stairs were steep and winding but we were warned on the website - also the tight entrance to the car park. None of this detracted from our stay - the room was comfortable and had good facilties and the staff were friendly. Would stay again but would book a first floor room
The hotel is old and charming. The food was excellent and the staff were all lovely. The reception to the tv in the bedroom was very poor and the tap water in the bathroom was not for drinking. However, these issues did not spoil our overall enjoyment of our stay.
We went to stay in the property for a weekend getaway . I personally enjoyed my stay there.Excellent breakfast options .
Marvellous customer sevice . They were all smiling and gave us pleasant experience
The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the town and area. The room was excellent, very comfortable and clean. The only downside were the winding stairs that could have been a problem for less mobile individuals.
However the view from the room at the top of the Hotel made the effort worthwhile.
