Everyone at Finca Rosa was so friendly and kind. We always enjoyed going to the restaurant and seeing the wait staff who treated us so warmly during our stay. Pablo and Jonathan at the front desk arranged everything with clarity and efficiency. Ulysses's (?) coffee tour was very memorable and fun. Without a doubt, our time spent with our nature tour guide Manolo was the highlight of our time spent in Costa Rica. Manolo spent two days with us taking us to the rain forest, river tour, Poas volcano, and zip line. He was very knowledgable, kind, enthusiastic and fun to be with. We learned so much about Costa Rica during our time with Manolo. We also spent time in Nosara but will remember the people we met at Finca Rosa Blanca for years to come.
"Great hotel in the mountains over looking the city"
First time at this hotel and was a great surprise. There are two swimming pools and one is clothing optional. We had a great room in front of the pool, the room also had a full kitchen, living area, comfortable bed, and the property is located in a quiet area with plenty of nature. Also the nightly concert performed by the frogs in the pools by the main building.

Vista Los Volcanes is a great little b&b close to the San Jose airport. Carlos and the staff are extremely caring and make you feel welcome immediately. There is a 3rd story balcony with great views and the breakfast is very tasty. The rooms do not have AC which is normal in CR, but are comfortable.
The hotel offers a unique and very nice ground environment inside the rainforest and nude nature.
The rooms are not very comfortable and excessive noise is presented mostly at night time. The staff at the reception is not competent and has not experience at all in customer service, so be ready to take their rudeness. Also it is recommended in the morning to chase around the maids and remind them to clean the room and provide cleaned towels. Food is ok, will be recommended to go out to Alajuela, Santa Barbara or San Jose area for a nice dining experience.
after a week of business travel in Costa Rica wanted to take the weekend for visiting. The price fit the place. In the middle of Heredia by the Universidad National crazy traffic area, buses, taxis, "el centro" feet away from it, closed to the airport --even a bus to take you direct to the airport door for $1.20 vs $20.00 cab fare---perfect for commotion. The bus transportation is the most organized ever seen and all stops near by.This Apartments/Hotel are for students residency. Perfect for in-and-out situations and for 4 or more travelers: great space, the best customer service and no problems at all. the physical conditions are "home space like--- this is not a high scale hotel room: there was no AC but open wide windows and fans. no house keeping. its a complete apartment complex with everything: cooking, laundry etc. for the price---its a local bed&breakfast in a local town. I am a stress free person and I make the best of every situation. I would definitely go back "for $38.00/day"
Located 10 km (6 mi) north of San Jose, Heredia is the capital of the province of the same name, famous for its coffee plantations, tropical rainforests, and volcanic national parks. Home to the National University of Costa Rica, the city also hosts a number of high-tech multinationals. Microchip production is a leading industry, along with tourism and coffee roasting.
