"This is a beautiful historic property, lovingly maintained to the last detail. The view from our room was stunning. Having breakfast on the front porch was a surreal experience. The hostess was welcoming and friendly. She genuinely cares about each guest. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Will definitely be coming back!"
"In a word Perfect. Everything was as advertised. We stayed in Winston for a wedding. We wanted a place for the family to get together to be close to the venue. Communication with the host prior to stay had us informed on everything we needed to know before our arrival. When we arrived everything went smooth. Host contacted to make sure things were okay. Gave them 6 stars. Our 3 year great grand daughter joined us at the house and had a great time. Her room had two beds so our other great grad daughter came over and spent the night too. Lots of toys in the room and the deck had toys also. Kitchen had plenty in the everything you need department. Absolute excellent stay."
Large 7 bd 5 bath house. A few miles from wildlife safari. Gourmet kitchen
10/10 Excellent
"The house was lovely and spacious, making it perfect for our visit to Winston for a wedding. It comfortably accommodated two families. The kitchen was not only spacious but also beautifully designed. We found the beds to be comfortable, and the living room furniture was equally inviting. We appreciated having access to the washer and dryer, along with the laundry soap that was provided. The little extras, like coffee supplies and shampoo, were also greatly appreciated. The property is very well-maintained, although we noticed some cobwebs and tiny spiders in several rooms, which we understand is normal for this time of year, given the wooded areas behind the home.It was a delight to see the cacti in front of the house in bloom, as we don’t often get to see that living in Northwest Oregon. We would gladly book this home again if we need to."

"If you want a place to stay in the Canyonville OR area, don’t miss out on this country home/retreat. The host went above and beyond making sure we felt at home. The setting is very peaceful. Go for a nice, quiet walk. This place can’t be beat!"
"Owner Rick manages his SAFARI INN (Exit 119 off Interstate I-5) exceptionally well. I was a solo elderly female traveler on a budget looking for safe, clean, non-smoking, comfortable lodging for the two days I would be visiting the famous 53-year-old, 680-acre Wildlife Safari conservation & rare species park, located less than 2 quick miles from the Inn. Arrived late (nearly 10 PM because I'd driven straight from Nanaimo City, Victoria Island, British Columbia, Canada. I'd reserved my room previously. Rick, happy to see me, welcomed me, charged me only when I actually arrived. Ample parking directly in front of my room. The door is securely locked digitally. Comfortable, King-size bed, free WiFi, well-stocked w/ ground coffee coffee maker. Convenient light switches within easy reach, two bedside lamps, Round dining table w/ two comfortable upholstered armchairs. Desk with lamp & upholstered desk chair. Tall dresser holding TV with ample drawers. main room has tall wall size mirror for full view of yourself. Carpet is fresh-smelling. Lots of hot water. Bathroom w/ shower-full size tub. Separate dressing space w/ large mirror, daylight bright light, hair dryer, sink w/ roomy counter for toiletries. Lots of clean white cotton towels. Lots of hot water. Altho Inn is located on main street, street noise was minimal; sleep environment was quiet both nights. Highly recommend and would stay here again when I visit Winston, Oregon."
