Arrived at 5pm following 4 hour drive, stiff back and general fatigue. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the room. When I reported it to reception, there was a sense of not knowing to well it's an old property, it could be all the water has been used. We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and leave it till the morning. Guess what? Morning came and still no hot water. From talking to other guests we were not the only ones. It became quite obvious that the hotel knew there was a problem when we checked in. Unforgivable not to mention it and give us the option of going elsewhere. We were made to feel it was our fault and we should not complain. At no point did any staff manager cone to our room or show any interest.
Such a beautiful location but unforgivable attitude and service. I do wonder is the main business functions, weddings etc then if they can take any money over and above that great but not a priority.
I will say the restaurant food was very good.
