Peaceful stay in Cornish pods
Peaceful, cosy and magical for the kids. Great location with Roskillys, St Keverne and Coverack next door. Very small site which makes it feel very personal and private. Friendly owners are on hand for any assistance. The pod has everything you need and feel spacious, even with a small family

Fantastic, but...
The pod was scrupulously clean, the fittings are new: everything was shiny & modern. The location’s great, near a beach & ice cream farm/mini shopping mall. Disappointed we couldn’t park near the pod - meaning we had to drag our suitcases 50m on wet gravel/grass (it was pouring down). There was nowhere to put our now muddy/dirty cases in the pod. Really disappointed that there was no hob to cook on (a small induction hob would’ve been perfect). The pod was described as self catering - but a single small microwave didn’t do it for me - I like fried eggs & bacon for breakfast on holiday. I could’ve used the BBQ except there is no frying pan & it was raining & I didn’t want to wait an hour for it to get to temperature. In the end I had to go to Sainsbury’s & buy a foil tray BBQ (for 1 night I didn’t want 20Kg of charcoal) which didn’t really work very well. Myself & my neighbour both struggled to cook our tea on foil tray BBQs - so obviously there is a need for a quick source of heat by which food can be cooked - I didn’t really fancy living off microwave ready meals & pot noodles - so 1 night was enough. There’s no table in the pod to eat off which was awkward (there’s a picnic table - but it was raining). I think the site may have a cat & it’s allowed near the laundered bedding. I’m allergic & woke up with swollen eyes/sneezing. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort in the pods & they’re new & clean. But I couldn’t stay more than a day without better cooking facilities

Perfect and exactly as expected from description
We were looking for a quiet bolthole and were not disappointed. Directions were spot on and very helpful. The accommodation was excellent. A luxury lodge in perfect surroundings. Stargazing great on clear nights. Zero light pollution. Bed super comfortable, lodge was immaculately clean with milk, soaps, towels, kitchen roll and washing up liquid all provided. Toasty warm and well equipped kitchen with toaster and corkscrew! Hosts Joe and Kirstie were lovely, very welcoming but left us to ourselves as well. Walk guides in Lodge were great, printouts to take with you were a great idea. We would definitely return and recommend. Firepit looked great but we wimped out cos it was December!
