"I only booked for one night as a stop over for a longer journey North but would not have been disappointed if we had been here for longer. Fantastic food for both dinner and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful and clean and comfortable rooms. Fantastic location with Loch views. Very

Riva Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (306)
"Was a lovely clean hotel, that we booked as it is
dog
friendly. the room was small which would have been ok if it had just been the two of us but it left little room for our
dog
to sleep on the floor, wherever it would lay down would be where we would need to walk to get to en-suite. Have booked for our return journey from the highlands and asked if there was a slightly bigger room - was informed the room would provide a little more space."

"Our family of four very much enjoyed our one night stay in Hellensburgh at Sugar Boat. The restaurant downstairs had great quality food and was so convenient to just walk back upstairs after our meal. The entire place was very clean, smelled wonderful and was so unique and different from other stays. It was great to be able to park free right next to the hotel and also be able to walk around the town's square and out on the pier. An added bonus was the fabulous continental breakfast delivered...

"Cleanliness in the apartment was top notch but the entrance from the door through the staircase was not pleasant. The stairs should be rugged atleast, to give it good first impression. The shower wasn't working or we couldn't get through with turning it on, so we had to be fetching water from kitchen each time we wanted to shower. We also couldn't access the wifi. The password was there but we didn't know what network to connect to as there were many on the drop down and we kept trying the...

"Basic accommodation room was clean but carpeting in public areas was not. Pillows lumpy. No kettle or tea making facilities in room there was a machine near reception 2 pound a drink cups small. Heating in room not great and took all night before it warmed up. Free parking which was good and staff friendly and helpful. Paid extra for breakfast which was buffet and eat all you want was good and would recommend. All in all if your looking for somewhere really basic and cheap would be good."
