Invergare Castle is a Unique Property, Built 1855, Overlooking the Clyde Estuary

Family-friendly holiday home in Helensburgh with hot tub
It is located in a truly privileged position in the conservation village of Rhu and faces the Clyde Estuary. The house is of a Scots Baronial style and inside the house there are many beautiful period features from marble fireplaces in the drawing room to some of the largest bath tubs you will ever see! The house is perfect for a luxurious stay while you visit the vast and varied delights of the local area, play some golf, explore Loch Lomond or make a day trip to the Highlands and beyond.

Invergare Castle is both formal and welcoming. Staying in this house you will experience the golden age of British architecture - Victorian Scotland - with all it's charms!

The house sits in the conservation village of Rhu with beautiful views over the Clyde and beyond to Argyll.

Situated at the start of the highland train line it's possible to take day trips to Oban and Fort William or if you fancy, day trips to Glasgow or Edinburgh by train.

It is no more than 5 minutes over the hill to all of Loch Lomond. A ten minute drive to the village of Luss and 10 minutes to Cameron House for fine dining at Martin Wishart's newest restaurant.

Over the hill are some of the finest golf courses in Scotland- the world-renowned Loch Lomond course and the Carrick. The scenery around this part of Scotland is breathtaking and it is just over an hour form Inveraray.

At the top of Loch Fyne- is the original Loch Fyne Oyster bar which makes it the perfect place to have lunch after a walk.

There are very good restaurants nearby - Riverhill Coutryard, PJ's kitchen, The Wee Kelpie, La Barca and The Akash to name a few.

The cafe at Rhu marina and the Ardencaple bar and restaurant are just a 5 minute stroll, both are excellent!

For keen hill-walkers, Ben Lomond is a short car journey away. There are literally hundreds of walks within this area, along with the Highland Way and the John Muir Way. All information is provided within the house.

Invergare Castle is a fabulous house for children, with extensive gardens in a friendly and safe community. So much fun for all the family.

We booked the castle for a family Christmas getaway. It was one of the best weekends! The castle and grounds are elegant but at the same time feel really homely. They let us check in early to organise a few things which was super helpful. Everything has been designed to a really high standard and the hot tubs looking over at the beautiful views are not to be missed. One of our party is in a wheelchair so having the option of a downstairs bedroom, bathroom and the wide door frames were a huge help. I don't think there's anything we could fault!
Stayed 2 nights in Dec 2019

Stunning castle!
This is an Absolutely stunning castle!! It exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for a family gathering as we had a wedding in Scotland. The place has been renovated nicely. The place is well equipped with lots of games too. The rooftop terrace is lovely and the view is stunning. There are lots of nice walks and scenery around this castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Graham is very nice and accommodating. I would definitely return and also recommend it to others.

Comfy Castle Stay
What a place this is! Far cry from my everyday one bedroom flat 😂 I haven't walked about that much in a while! Alanna and Graham have clearly worked on this place with love and it shows. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Plenty entertainment inside the castle alone to do most people without bringing anything extra. With more being worked on and extra fun to be added, this project will be phenomenal once complete. All the guests (along with myself) had a superb time. I would gladly stay here again in a heartbeat. Bring your friends/ family and create some memories that will last.

This property exceeded my expectations. What a beauty of a property in a lovely part of Scotland.
This property is done to such a high standard. Graham answered any questions I had straight away and everything was fantastic for the weekend.
