Dreamy B&B in the GA Mountains
This property is a charming, cozy, wonderful stay. The house has been fully renovated in the last 2 years by the new owners who included all comforts and a lovely design aesthetic. The owners are the hosts and warm, welcoming people. The food was 5 star incredible!!! Absolutely 0 complaints, I will definitely be going back!

I can only gush about how amazing our stay at Beechwood Inn was. Marlon and Eli were absolutely amazing (and their lovely friends who were in town) and truly made our weekend one to remember. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and also grieve a recent loss. We left refreshed and so full of love. First off, the location is breathtaking. Absolutely beautiful. Clayton is the cutest little town and the inn is picturesque. We stayed in the Vineyard room, which had a king bed and private entrance. We were greeted by Marlon & Eli and enjoyed a few glasses of wine and a delicious snack (cheese and guava). We sat in the living room with a few of the other guests and ended up chatting for two hours. It was a highlight of our evening. They recommended a place for dinner, and we returned to some chocolate truffles in our room and a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast was served between 8-9am. I’m sure it changes, but we were served a yogurt and fruit parfait with local honey and a potato waffle with a fried egg, sausage, and guacamole with tomato from their garden. Divine! Tea and coffee, as well. We added on a picnic, which was such a treat. They prepared a backpack with sandwiches, potato salad, our choice of drink (we chose champagne), cookies, peaches, and a blanket. Everything was cooked with care and really made us feel special. We ate it next to a creek at Black Mountain State Park and it couldn’t have been a better way to end our stay. Our stay was so warm and welcoming tha

The new owners are gracious, friendly and true enjoy what they are doing. Clayton is an easy ride up 985/441 from Atlanta and there is much to do in the immediate area.

Weekend getaway in North Georgia
This inn is so charming, and Marlon and Eli are very gracious hosts! The setting is easy to access, and the atmosphere is warm from the moment you walk through the door. We will definitely be going back in the future.

a very special place!
Beechwood is a special place for a getaway, very nice to sit on the porch and there's tons of activity in the area. More importantly, awesome people greeted us, service was impeccable and yummy breakfast! Loved it!

Glad you enjoyed your visit. While we have lots to do nearby, sometimes just sitting on our front porch with a complimentary glass of wine and our view of Black Rock Mountain is relaxing. We pride ourselves on service, glad it showed. Most of our foods are locally grown from organic farms.

Great Getaway
The Inn was nice, with great gardens and plenty of room to space out. We enjoyed the complimentary wine at 5:30 each day and the breakfast prepared just for us was fresh, local, and delicious.

Fabulous B&B in Clayton. Great location for your outdoor adventure. Spacious room and super comfy bed. The owners are so welcoming and hospitable. Their wines are excellent and the happy hour in the porch was a very pleasant surprise. Would stay here again for sure!

Yes, we have high quality beds and soft linens. Yes, our town of Clayton offers lots of nice shops, including some great "Gear" shops to make local hiking more comfortable. We look forward to your next visit.

Charming Retreat, Near Many Outdoor Activities.
Though our stay was short, we had a thoroughly relaxing evening at the Beechwood Inn prior to rafting the Chattooga the following day. All the staff were super friendly and nice touches like a wine social with hors d'oeuvres were included upon arrival. Wholly recommended.

An attractive property on the side of a mountain
The property is well kept. The rooms are nicely appointed. The view of the mountains and valleys is tremendous. The breakfast is fantastic. The wifi is very weak.

Glad you enjoyed Beechwood Inn and our lovely view. You should have mentioned the wifi. We have a very sturdy professional level system with broadcasters in the attic and basement. But our system is only as good as the providers who bring the wires into Beechwood Inn. Because we live in the beautiful mountains we have lots of trees and they are not friends of lines on power poles. So yes, we do have some troubles with wifi but it is usually associated with our providers. During the recent hurricane season we were without wifi for 4 days. But we had power provided by our 22 kilowatt generator. We were one of the few places in town where you could get a hot breakfast and afternoon wine-thirty.

Beautiful 100 year old home.
The 100 year old home, with the spectacular view of Black Rock Mountain, is very special. David and Gayle are wonderful. The food was exceptional. Everything exceeded our expectations. Truly a "Select" choice in a Bed & Breakfast.

My stay was brief, only one night, but it was pleasant. Staff were friendly. Room was as advertised, though will warn those folks over 5'9" to watch your head in the Rose Cottage! The doorways to the bath room and shower are very low (by necessity) and I bumped my head a few times. Perhaps seek out another room in the inn.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Yes, this building was constructed in 1916, so it is a little quirky. Can't really raise the ceiling or lower the floor in that room.

Beechwood Inn was our best B&B experience ever. The Innkeeper (Dave) was a superb host, my wife and I felt very welcomed from the time we drove up. The facility was very clean and beautifully kept. We were close to the state parks, hiking areas and scenic venues we wanted to visit. We intend to return and to buy gift certificates for stays for my adult children.

Adorable but a little too rustic for my taste
Adorable, but a little too rustic for my taste. Was obviously decorated by a man, entirely too basic man cabin theme. Loved the new bathroom in the Nantahala Suite, great fireplace and awesome thread count on the sheets. A little small and noisy/creaky so not a lot of real privacy. Enjoyed the private porch from the suite.

Right off the highway!
We were shocked to find that this lodge was located in a neighborhood right off the highway. We we're expecting a quaint mountain B&B, to our dismay it was a short drive off the main highway. We rented the Blueberry cottage, because it suppose to have a view of the mountain s and a fireplace. The view was of the hills in the background with fast food signs, and neighbors rooftops . Worse of all 3:00 in the morning you can hear big 18 wheelers reversing getting gas, not to mention motorbikes. The husband (the owner) had no personality what so ever, but the wife was friendly, and informative. This stay put a huge dampener on our trip. The other reviews are exteamly misleading. Don't make the mistake we made.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. The area is beautiful and the hosts are outstanding. Don't forget to "swipe" a cookie before you turn In for the night! This is a must stay place if you are spending the night in Clayton, GA!

Charming getaway

Heaven on Earth
This is the most amazing place I have exer stayed. I have run hotels myself and the efficiency, cleanliness and charm this place has is striking. A days stay here for the normal every day stressed individual is like a weeks vacation. I will go back as often as I can. I'd I win the lottery (yeah right) I will go back and buy the place. The place to stay!
