Good stay at Taj Cape Town. Excellent breakfast at Mint. Stayed in a suite. Great view of the mountain. Good bathroom size. Enjoyed the facilities.
Only downside was that they didn't make up our room the one day. Called Housekeeping when we got back at 16h30. After a second call, they only sent someone at 18h30. This was a major downer. Expected better service than this.

Location was awesome, literally can't beat it. Staying in the area, everything is walking distance and just staying by the water is great. As you will see in some past reviews, check-in was an issue. Pretty disorganized. Should not be this difficult, having to wait 45 minutes doesn't make sense. Hopefully, this can be fixed.

The location is excellent - right near Kloof st. The hotel felt very safe. My room was quite large and had nice amenities. However, the property felt more like an upscale hostel than a boutique hotel. There was constantly noise coming from downstairs (music, party sounds, etc). If that wasn't enough, the fumes of fried food from the restaurant below permeated my room. Between the oily smell and the noise, I did not sleep particularly well.
