Wonderful hotel close to airport

Posted 17-Aug-2017
This is a very clean and modern hotel close to Heathrow. The rooms had everything I needed. There were tons of soap and towels, complimentary water, tea and coffee and a mini bar. The bed was comfy and the staff was top notch. I wanted to stay here the entire time in London. It's also easy to get to the metro from here via a free bus.

Good airport location

We needed one night before our early flight and this location was convenient. Room was small but comfortable. We were offered a larger room, but at an extra cost. Breakfast was good.

The staff, especially the concierge staff: GREAT!

Posted 15-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff and the location. The location is excellent.
Location: Very close to Central London and all tourist activities. Victoria Station, the main bus depot, and the Apollo theatre are all a short walk away.
We could not get the room cool enough to sleep comfortably. When we asked for a thinner blanket, we got another blanket of the same thickness, which was utterly useless. Apparently, they misunderstood. We ended up sleeping under the decorative runner that lay across the end of the bed. That worked.

Good for a one-night stay

Posted 15-Aug-2017
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, helpful staff
Cons: The gap between the room door and hotel corridor. Better/clearer signs for elevators.
Location: Close to Heatrow, McDonalds is next door
When we first arrived, I was really impressed with the classically decorated reception area, something that you don't often see these days at most hotels. Room and bathroom were clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Didn't try the restaurants but they both looked busy during dinner time. Staff were helpful and courteous - we called someone to help us with our large suitcases before check out. Conveniently there was a Hoppa bus ticket machine just outside the lobby. The staff fixed the machine right away when we told them that it was jammed. A taxi ride for the airport would probably cost about the same as the bus tickets, but we ride Hoppa bus as a tradition for whenever we fly through Heathrow. For improvement: There is a gap between the room door and hotel corridor. We could hear people talk as they walked by and the light from corridor came through. Also, bigger signs are needed for lifts/elevators that serve for different sides of the hotel. We took the wrong lift and had to walk quite far to our room at the other side of the building. Not fun when you had to drag heavy, multiple suitcases after a long international flight. We weren't the only ones who made the mistake since we met people who also got lost when trying to find their rooms.

Rooms too small and poorly maintained

Posted 11-Aug-2017
Small rooms, basic facilities, bathroom flooded. However, the location is good particularly if traveling from Heathrow airport. Easy access from M25

Not what it says on the tin

Posted 08-Aug-2017
Cons: Communication
I booked 3 queen rooms and requested interconnecting rooms about 6 weeks prior to stay. On arriving at the hotel I wan allocated 3 double rooms and no interconnecting facility. When I queried this with the hotel they advised me that they were extremely busy and that they don't do queen rooms that have interciponnecting facility. I had payed in advance on a non refundable basis. Why didn't they tell me 6 weeks ago that they don't do queen rooms with interconnecting facility and secondly they charged me for Queen rooms and provided me with King rooms!!
