Good for a one-night stay
When we first arrived, I was really impressed with the classically decorated reception area, something that you don't often see these days at most hotels. Room and bathroom were clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Didn't try the restaurants but they both looked busy during dinner time.
Staff were helpful and courteous - we called someone to help us with our large suitcases before check out. Conveniently there was a Hoppa bus ticket machine just outside the lobby. The staff fixed the machine right away when we told them that it was jammed. A taxi ride for the airport would probably cost about the same as the bus tickets, but we ride Hoppa bus as a tradition for whenever we fly through Heathrow.
For improvement: There is a gap between the room door and hotel corridor. We could hear people talk as they walked by and the light from corridor came through. Also, bigger signs are needed for lifts/elevators that serve for different sides of the hotel. We took the wrong lift and had to walk quite far to our room at the other side of the building. Not fun when you had to drag heavy, multiple suitcases after a long international flight. We weren't the only ones who made the mistake since we met people who also got lost when trying to find their rooms.
