We had a fantastic family holiday this week. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t go enough for you. Plenty to do in the hotel but in a great location to travel to nearby attractions. Would definitely recommend and would like to go back in the near future.

Lovely staff, lovely room, lovely pool, lovely gardens & lovely breakfast! The kids loved that there was pool & ping pong they could play. Really impressed!

We were there during the storms in November so didn't get chance to explore the outside too much. The room was lovely and clean but the bin hadn't been emptied from previous guests. We are familiar with the area of Shanklin and wanted to be there so were very happy with the position of the hotel.

Really lovely family room with bunk beds and spectacular view on balcony. Dinner menu limited and no draught beer if that’s your thing! Games room, pool, hot tub and outside gardens lovely. No steps to beach anymore due to cliff collapse.

Nice hotel. We choose it for proximity to Shanklin town and because it has a pool. Location was great but pool was a bit chilly and hot tub wasn’t always ‘hot’ so we were a bit disappointed. However, staff were generally very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel, great location with pleasant gardens and fabulous sea view. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. Short walk to Shanklin old village though it is hilly, there's a decent size carpark at the hotel too. We stayed in the east facing superior room with balcony, definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise! Would have been nice to have more toiletries in the room though, plus a bottle of water. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

It was a amazing a night stay at the hotel Staff was amazing and very helpful Booked with breakfast Only drawdown is breakfast food was had to order rather than it was on display Like you get in another hotels Apart from that the hospitality and the location of the hotel and free pass for the Shanklin was amazing Book a room with ocean view .you won’t be dissapointed

The grounds of the Hotel and the view was beautiful. The staff were certainly very cold and quite unhelpful. Most of the staff, particularly The front desk staff were not so great. You always got this feeling that our being there was a bother to them. The food was okay

This is exactly the hotel the UK needs more of. Absolutely faultless in every respect. We only stayed one night as made the mistake of staying at another in Shanklin the 2nd night. Similarly starred and priced but worlds apart. The 2nd one (i will not name) should have been a 2 star relative to Luccombe, or perhaps Luccombe is a 4 star. Would come back to Shanklin just to stay at the Luccombe.

Stayed in an executive room, Number 2. Didn’t have a proper shower. Went for dinner at 8pm Friday and was told by one staff member we didn’t have time for desert as the kitchen was closing. Felt very rushed. A free desert was offered the following night. Champagne purchased wasn’t cold.

Amazing view and service
Very good hotel. Amazing view from the balcony, access to the garden (which was very big), access to the beach but it was closed for some reason; had to take the long way around. There was also live music and the breakfast options were good. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, be careful with room choice.
Lovely hotel, great location. Good facilities. Booked a standard double room which was in the eaves up two floors. Only complaints were a poor shower, Quite loud plumbing noises from the bathroom and air conditioner or similar noise from outside at night. This was worse because room was very warm and windows and bathroom door needed to be open for comfort. I would not want this room in summer.

Sea view and bird song
Loved sitting on our private balcony in the mornings looking over the gardens and the sea and listening to the birds singing - though the sea was mostly shrouded in mist and rain! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were plentiful, dinner was really good (main course £17)
