Just the place that I like to stay in. Nice couple. Very good breakfast. Good value. They provided a cool box for my milk with ice packs, and cereal so that I could have breakfast in my room, and leave early next morning. I could leave my bags in the hall on the day I left, and collected them mid-morning.

Wonderful, hidden gem and an absolute bargain

Located just a few hundred yards from the Main Street in Hawick Brougham house is wonderfully cosy and friendly B&B. The host Norman (and his wife whose name I’ve forgotten!) were wonderful, the accommodation was modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with cereals, fruit and a full freshly cooked breakfast available. Can not recommend highly enough.

Friendly and welcoming hosts

Super friendly couple went out of their way to make us comfortable. Great breakfast, en-suite bathrooms even in the single rooms, and centrally located for the town. Hawick itself seemed a little run down though, and had clearly seen better days, when the local industries were more thriving. Nearby Jedburgh and Kelso are more attractive and historically interesting, but Hawick is a good base to see them from. Would definitely recommend Brougham House to anyone thinking of staying in the area. I had sworn to never again stay at a B&B after some bad experiences, but this place has reset my thoughts on the matter.
